Re: Berry's 220gr & CFEBLK Powder Load Testing

Yep, pretty much a lousy choice of powder for subs, regardless of the heavy pill sent down the tube. Now, stuff the little case full under some 130- 150gr bullets with a magnum primer and you will be keepin the jug of CFEBLK. 1680, if one can find any, is just that much better overall. I have never ...

Re: A1680 and Dillon powder measure

1680 should flow and fill like many of the ball variety powders. Start back to square one and check all the mechanical connection between the press and powder measure. Gotta be a simple something creating the issue. I have experienced some static issues that created random charge issues, a new dryer...

Re: WTK: are these .30 Poly Coated Bullet any good for 300 BO

I shoot a bullet from Missouri Bullets that weighs 160 gr and is Hitec coated. Not a reliable feeder in a AR but works great in my .30-30 single shot, RARR bolt gun 300 BLK, and in a 20" .308. All are subs in each caliber. Trail Boss is a good one...just not able to find any more so far in this...

Merry Christmas! Despite of all madness present in the World today, we here in my world are blessed indeed! Sunshine and 14* with some below zero stuff on it's way.

Re: All around bullet?

I bought about 500 of those 130 HP's, certain that the bullet with the big mouth would be a beast on critters with various leg counts. Turns out they are very accurate indeed. A fellow I chat with elsewhere has used them in his .308 on small to medium game, and no, I don't want to see the photos!

Re: Looking for Andy at Reloadimizer

I use the jig from ZEP reloading products. I have made hundreds...many hundreds of cut off .223 into 300 BLK. Scored a few barrels full of a commercial reloading company's reject ammo. Pull the bullet, note the powder charges used with each bullet type, create 300 BLK cases with damaged .223 case mo...

Re: I’m looking for load data for Winchester 748

A little bit of google foo or other queries to educate yourself on the proper propellants suited would have been instructive. So much good info, including data in published form such as Hodgdon.

Re: Speer TNT OAL growth when chambering

Yes sir, the Lee factory crimp die is just the ticket for what you describe. It works very well, I load and shoot a lot of the Speer TNT's with no issues.

Re: 300 BO 147 tracers

All the tracers we have fired in BLK appear to light anywhere from 50-100 yds, sometimes appearing to be a bit farther. We usually shoot them in the winter here, ranges don't allow their use even in the snow. When they impact a snow covered dirt back stop they continue to burn for a few seconds. Fun...

Re: labeling and organizing test loads

Bob, you are most definitely a organized guy. I used to do as you, seems laziness or the damn wind blew my data sheet away a few times. I also attach a chrono sheet as needed. I have some Berger 155.5 match in .308 to test tomorrow with some 8208. Best to all.
