He would order his deputies into a house to confiscate the guns while he stayed in the armored truck out front.

Re: New 220 Nosler BT' Range Report... Problems.
There is something about all of this that I do not understand. The above states that these bullets are "designed for subsonic use". How do you know that ?? And if they are,why do they have a boat tail ?? Back to my above . . . someone please fire some of these in a 10 twist 308 at 2500. I ...

Re: Bighorn Armory 500 Automax
Even though gassed,from a 18" bbl I would guess about like a well loaded 45-70. The 460S&W,454Casull,and the 500S&W are all 60,000psi cartridges. My question would be . . . what would the wear be like on the AR shooting a 60,000psi cartridge with that much bolt head thrust ?? ---- pruhdlr

Might try - - -> lock back BCG . . gently drop round into chamber . . close action . . fire.
Keyhole ??
The mag could possibly be tearing up/distorting the bullets nose. --- pruhdlr

Re: New 220 Nosler BT' Range Report... Problems.
The rotational velocity of your load is <100,000 RPM. That is super slow for any bullet.
Got a 308Win ?? See what happens if you push them at 2000fps or even max vel from a 1:10 twist bbl. They would be at 144,000. --- pruhdlr

My guess would be. - - -> bullets rotational velocity . . . ?
No . . . Really . . . It could be that the nose profile is slowing them down more than anticipated out past the chrono. What is the B.C. of these bullets ?? Rough and/or dirty bore could be another thing I suppose. --- pruhdlr

Re: Soon Loading Lehigh Defense 110gr CC with H110
Wondering what Lehigh would say if they were asked if this bullet would make it to the target doing 4200fps from a 1:10 twist bbl. Saaaaaay in a 300RUM or a 30-378Wby Mag ??
But really doesn't matter. If it works for you,at your speeds . . . GREAT !!

Soooooooo . . . are the Lehigh folks ready to say that the above bullet opens "optimally" at a1000fps difference in MV ??

Re: Soon Loading Lehigh Defense 110gr CC with H110
I have a heavy barreled 308Win (Rem700 SPS TAC) that I call my 300BLK Magnum. Using the formula from the HODGDON site for H4895 (light loads / reduced recoil loads) you can pretty much make about any weight bullet travel at just above 300BLK speeds yet quite a bit lower than the 308Win speeds. You c...
