Re: yeti cuts ties with NRA - refuses to sell products to the NRA foundation

"I don't like some of the decissions that they have made". "I don't like all the mail they send me". - - -> BLAH,BLAH,BLAH !! The NRA can walk into about any office in DC and talk to the Congressman or Senator. If the Podunk,Iowa Rod and Gun Club president can do that,I most like...

Re: Looking for a good AR trigger

To fit your parameters (SD and not target) my advice is stick with the milspec FCG. Simply replace your hammer and trigger springs with the JP springs. Install a ambi safety while your at it. For combat type shooting (as in SD/HD) I suggest that you "slap" the trigger as in shooting a shot...

Re: Impact tests

The rotational velocity helps a bullet dump more energy due the the centrifugal force working on the bullet to make it expand/open up. This is my arguement in favor of fast twist rate bbl's. Compair a car engine that rotates it's crankshaft at a rate of 6,000RPM to most bullets that have a rotationa...

Re: MOA Expectations

For "pistols" of most any AR chambering I reccomend bbls of between 10.5 and 12.5 inches. I have a couple that are 10.5 inches with a KAK tube, using one spacer and a SB-15 brace. Carries, shoulders, and shoots like a dream. I get groups of .600-.750" at 50yds with my thermal installed. ...

Re: Powders for the 300 BO

Although this is probably a debateable statement . . . most .308" sized "varmint" bullets are good for deer, hogs, and coyotes at 300BLK vels. Also some of the bullets designed for the 30-30Win that are <151grs can be good for deer and especially hogs. As with any bullet placement,it ha...

Re: Can the 300 BO use any 30 cal bullet?

It will help also if you use a bullet with a flat base. There will be more room for powder. For all my hunting of deer, hogs, and coyotes,I use the Barnes 110gr TAC-TX (black tips). For me,they are both accurate AND deadly. At close to 2400fps they will have more retained energy than I will need at th...

Re: 300 Blackout Any LEO Using?

I am not a LEO however I know a bunch of them. None of their departments use a 300BLK. They do not seem to like it for their suspected application and the costs associated with switching to the CHAMBERING would be beyond the budgets of their departments. Switching would give the officer one thing . ...
