Re: What's the tightest you've found factory handguards?
You probably want to use either the Geissele Reaction Rod or the Brownells Barrel Extension Torque Tool.

Re: Longest range for subs
You're shooting sub moa with a 10" barrel and a red dot? I call bullshit with all due respect! A sub 1 inch group at a 100yrds with a red dot that at best has a 2-3 moa dot, you must be one of those military snipers I have been reading so much about! The red dot isn't capable of such accuracy ...

Re: URX Rail on 9" Upper Misaligned?
Also good to know. I was thinking at the very least I should run some rounds through it just to make sure there wasn't anything else that might merit attention.300Blk wrote:BTW, no rush. If you want to enjoy your rifle for a while, you can do this at any time and deal with it off-season.

Re: URX Rail on 9" Upper Misaligned?
The KAC URX is not a continuous rail system with the upper. You can't mount accessories that span the two rails. It is not a monolithic-style upper. The gap is normal - you install it by screwing it on as tight as it can go, and then backing off until the rails are aligned. Okay, good to know about...

URX Rail on 9" Upper Misaligned?
I just received my new 9" AAC 300BLK Upper. When I pulled it out of the box I gave it a once-over to check for defects, etc.. I noticed the URX3 rail is canted down slightly and to the left relative to the upper receiver (see pics). http://oi61.tinypic.com/nckppg.jpg http://oi61.tinypic.com/2e0...

Re: Trimmer
I use the RCBS Power Trim Pro 2 with the .30 cal 3 way cutter. Kind of a pricy setup but it trims fast, consistently and with the 3 way cutter, chamfer & deburring done as you trim. Works great for large quantities I have the same setup, except I turn the cutter manually. It trims the length an...

The SPECWAR is slightly longer (~1-3/8") and a little heavier (~4oz) but seemed to have the edge in noise reduction in most comparisons.

Re: ATF 41P enacted June 2014?
Technically, the FFL could submit non-trust form 4's via eForms as well; however, I would suspect some of that depends on how well the fingerprints are scanned. They could, but it would be rejected immediately. ATF eForm instructions state they will not accept forms for transfers to individuals via...

[quote="gravitas73Also not sure how the $200 tax is done, if you would just pay your dealer and they pay it for you online.[/quote] My dealer filed a Form 4 to transfer a can into my trust. I just wrote him a $200 check and he used his CC to pay it. You could also let the dealer use your credit...

Re: New member requesting help with suppressor purchase
If you're using the suppressor on a 16" upper, your primary considerations are going to be length and weight.
