CCI 400 primers have been great for me.
I just loaded some 150gr hornady FMJs with 1.09 grams of IMR4227

Re: Do Pmags mags need to be modified?
I filed mine down. Previously, when I would charge my bolt, the first round would not load into the chamber. Filling down those lips on the pmag helped. It was most noticeable with longer bullets like the 150 gr hornady fmj's. Even with them shaved down the bullets still stack funny so you've gotta ...

Re: every hunters worst nightmare
If a deer gets shots by a SBR with a suppressor and 220gr subsonic ammo in the woods... Does the game warden hear it?

Re: How does it work??
Thank you all for you comments. The more I explore blogs, articles, forums, and videos related to the amazing AR15 and the blackout cartridge the more I am pleased that I've got both!

How does it work??
First, the "how does it work?" Question is a quote from ren and stimpy. I used to own a POF p415. I bought it for it's reliablity and loved it, never had a problem with it. I changed to the 300 blackout to have the versatility of the different bullets it would allow and built an AR15 from ...

Re: OFFICIAL 2014 DEER HUNTING THREAD
It was my first time hunting with the 300 blackout. saw this little guy at 104 yards. I used the 125 gr nosler green tip with 18.0gr of H110. He was walking broad side to me so i squared the crosshair on his shoulder and tracked it for a second to get the speed correct then fired. He dropped right a...

Re: C.O.L issue?
So, I have an update. I'm home now, and I have checked every dimension that Hornady list in my reloading book against my cartridge. Every dimension was pretty much spot on. I went back to my press, and adjusted the seating die to seat the bullet a few thousandths of an inch deeper. Now the bullets ...

Re: Varmageddon
It's a fun round and shoots great. I loaded about 25 of them after doing a work up. http://i1260.photobucket.com/albums/ii568/dark_nephi/IMG_9477_zps23280167.jpg Shot at a line of thick gallon jugs filled with water to do a bullet capture. Only went through one jug. Lost 80% of its bullet weight. Re...

Re: Have you heard this before...
Lotta guys here think you need a 300 Win Mag to reliably kill our itty-bitty deer. Guess one buddy's 9 y/o daughter dropping one with a 62gr 5.56 pill & another bud's 10 y/o son who dropped 2 does with a single 20ga 00buck round didn't get the message. My experience is that a .30-30 150gr CoreL...
