Re: Best bullet choice for deer / coyote
My RARR shoots Speer TNT's and Nosler 110 really well, better than it shoots Barnes black tips. I bought a bunch when they went on sale thinking it was the perfect bullet...My Handi-rifle shoots them great, but my Ruger not so much.

Re: AAC Handi Rifle
I looked for another one a year ago with no luck, then I bought a RARR and love it. Now my H&R just sits there looking cool. Still a really fun gun and great for back packing, but I like my Ruger more. Good luck on your search.

Re: AAC Handi Rifle
This is also my favorite combo. I use 4.5 grains of trail boss and 90 xtp. Super accurate and very quiet. For super loads I use 300mp and the 90 xtp.Aggie wrote:I very much enjoy my handi rifle, I prefer shooting the 90gr xtp's with trailboss through mine.

Re: Hand Loading 223 powder question
I use both TAC and Benchmark for my ar loads, I like how consistent Benchmark flows through my powder feeder. Also you have to use more TAC to achieve the same velocity as Benchmark.

Re: Neck Size Only?
I have the Lee collet neck size die for 300blk. I don't use it for my single shot rifle anymore for many reasons. First, it made no difference in accuracy over FL sizing. Second, keeping brass separate is a pain, and third, primer pockets wear out so fast in my 300blk, trying to prolong brass life ...

Re: Going from a single stage press to......? The time has come
If you do decide to go Dillon, I highly recommend you get on Brian Enos website and look at the forum for the Dillon machines, there's a ton of good info on there. Once you get the Dillon set up and use it for a while caliber changes are easy, I have it down to less then 5 minutes. I've never owned ...

Dillon, but do some research on others. I have really enjoyed my xl650, but there are others. Dillons customer service is top notch.

Neck Size Only?
Just wondering why there aren't very many neck size dies for 300 BLK, I know most people FL size because they shoot Ar15's, but I only shoot Bolt and Handi rifles. I usually only neck size my bolt gun ammo. I did notice that Midwayusa had a neck size die....
