Re: Thoughts on Annealing Nickel Cases
Note that if you anneal your nickel plated necks, you are hardening the nickel plating. It can be harder than many alloyed steels before you anneal and can increase is hardness as much as 2 fold by precipitation hardening. I sure wouldn't want those tiny little hard pieces inside the neck getting em...

Re: Thoughts on Annealing Nickel Cases
I would just use those Nickel cases in their original form. Annealing those may be less a than satisfactory outcome, I've never done it or ran across any who have. Shoot em as they are, making BLK cases best suited to good quality brass. Lots of work to convert, but I guess a guy could give a test o...

Re: Hand Loading 223 powder question
Certifiable and I have the same experience, 75 gr Hornady HPBT in a 1/9 20" or 1/8 20". In my experience, and that of many shooters, the 1/8 is just about as versatile as it gets. 50 gr Vmax to 77 gr Sierra match, this twist does it just as well as 1/7, but won't tear up some of the lighte...

Re: Any thoughts on this barrel for supers only rifle?
Nice barrel, a bit above the average for a good one, but also with some nice features. My experience with 416R SS has been nothing but positive, though like many SS tubes, it may take a few rounds to really settle in and show it's worth.

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK
One point needing another mention on the GD 150's, they are a darn accurate bullet! Under that squished load of 1680, my 100 yd test groups of 3 shots were .500 or less( 2 touching, one tucked in for .435) CFE BLK with the same charge was nearly as accurate, just needed a magnum primer. A few more t...

Re: Perfect 300 BO Cast Boolit
The Lee 230 works pretty well when PC'd. I'm going to mill out the boat tail, some of the samples I've seen dropped closer +/- to 230gr+ and were quite accurate. My cast ones weigh at about 225 ish after coating, this with about 14-16 BHN. DS's 265 is waiting in line of several dozen other projects ...

Re: Help me find something...
I sure appreciate you Dellet, as well as all the fellow enthusiasts who share their adventure. I'm sorry to report that I have not dove into the Shooters World stuff, I seemed to get side tracked with other projects. Healing up from an injury to my right shoulder, I'm back at the load bench. Passed ...

Re: Help me find something...
Two things appear in that body of work/data: There are a couple of powders that just plain work, with the mid weight bullets to the heavies. There are some who fuss about how loud or dirty a particular powder is etc. If you have scanned that information, 1680 just plain works across a wide selection...

Re: man banned from EVERY walmart and samsclub in USA for open carry
Yep, hunting/fishing outings and a trip to the store with a revolver I have done as well. With the election year approaching, here in the Capitol, we will be over run by the enlightened warriors of all things anti this or that. The out of state plates and the life style hints are clues to where the ...

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK
Subscribing/following this thread! Always look forward to what you are up to. I chrono'd some 150 gr FMJ's(M2) yesterday in my 10.5" pistol, 16.4 gr H110 and CCI 450 gave me best accuracy @ 1906 avg. I pushed 'em a bit more but not really what I was hoping for. 110gr. Hornady SP Varmint on top ...
