Re: 300 BLK bolt actions, anything good ? Options ??

Re: New guy here, have a question
I am the cheapskate here, I used the Lee dies. they work fine. I have even formed brass with them with no problems. Hey man, don't feel bad, my first 300 Blk dies were lee also and they worked great for me, and formed brass with them too without trouble ( had to readjust depth one time then all was...

Re: New guy here, have a question
I also use the Hornady custom grade. Was about to order when I saw them in stock at Academy for couple dollars less than midway. Good so far with great neck tension on the brass. Just be careful with the crimp feature. I messed up a few brass before I figured it out. Not the fault of the dies, my i...

Re: New 20 rd Pmags vs old 20 rd Pmag

If i hav...

Re: 2300 ft/sec from 10.5” barrel with 110 grain bullets
With the 110 tac-tx I've seen 2,270 fps in an 8" , average was 2250 fps. But i also saw loads of pressure signs at 20.8 maybe 21 gr H110 and it was destroying my brand new hornady brass on the first shot, so i backed off and stayed around 20.4 ish for a hunt load i smoked a white tail buck wit...

Re: Looking for a better 300 BO ammo box
+3 on the MTM 50 and 100 rd boxes ! Plus they have hinges that won't break to boot ! I have some in green, some in translucent blue, and some with the bottom black and the top translucent zombie green. I like the MTM ammo can carrier that comes with 4 plastic ammo cans too, for organizing different ...

Re: Ring around bullet when using hornady bullet seating die
Just out of curiosity.... Take a look in your hornady die box for me and in the top right corner there should be a tiny boxed off rectangle with a black piece of foam in it, under that piece of foam there should have been a second seating stem that is different than the one installed when you bought...

Re: Ring around bullet when using hornady bullet seating die
Not tied to these dies. Going to try RCBS dies. Edit: Picked up a forster ultra micrometer seating die! If you polish the hornady expander like dellet said and have the die set correctly it will work well and cost less than buying the new dies you have now. I also have a set of hornady dies and aft...
