Re: Expanding Subsonic bullets

Take a look at http://www.lehighdefense.com/products/3 ... 1066138648. They are pricey but they are devastating in what they do.

Re: Subsonics - Bullet Shape vs Perceived Sound

Interesting - I may eat crow after your test but I am going with physics and saying subsonic is subsonic. Still the human ear is the best instrument of all and I will await your results as well. Cool test. Actually Subsonic is not Subsonic as the air being pushed out of the way can reach supersonic...

Re: 110 grain V MAX or SP?

I don't like the 110 SP because they are loaded so short because the bullet is so short to start with. The 110gr Vmax is longer and is a better choice between the two. I suggest taking a look at the Speer 125gr TNT bullet. It is usually around $97/500, which is much cheaper than the VMAX for bulk s...

Re: 110gr update

the 110gr blacktip to me is a purpose specific bullet. namely hunting or self defense. i picked some up a while back, got the load data i needed. and the rest will wait until i use them for their specific purpose. i have other cheaper bullets that i can use for plinking, etc in the same weight clas...

Re: How Do you make your 300BO Brass? WOW

The ones I buy are a lot shinier than those. Hope they wet tumble before they sell to me. Most commercial loaders are too smart to waste time wet tumbling. The "little guys" use cement mixers with cc and/or walnut and polish. 8) If you are doing large amounts wouldn't that satur...

Re: Explosia D0-63 vs 1680

so how do i know if i have d063.0 or d063.1? in fact the lovex site lists d063.1 and d063.2.... now i'm really confused That's totally my bad, I was posting tired and late. It's D063.1 and D063.2. You most likely have .1, that's the more common variant, though .2 is really picking up in popularity....

Re: Handloads Quieter than Factory Ammo - Subsonic

Slower is quieter. So 900 fps is much quieter than 1020 fps. And that is just bullet flight noise - not even the initial muzzle noise. This ^^^^^ When subsonic bullets are in flight they have air flowing over them from the tip over the ogive to the back as compared with a supersonic bullet which cr...

Re: Lee Factory crimp die for the 300 Blackout

Concerning the problems, just read the posts about the die...  Proper case lengths, are part of a good reload. Its NOT quite as critical (for the crimp) as you make it sound. 8) As for problems with the crimp in the seater. What exactly is your argument? Its no fault of the crimp th...

Re: Lee Factory crimp die for the 300 Blackout

You don't need it. Use the crimp that's in your seating die. I like to refer to the LEE factory Crimp die as LEE's answer to a non existent problem.   It creates as many problems as it claims to solve. Just use the crimp and in your seater die it is all you will ever need. CW...
