That is a severe over crimp. It looks like you are actually strangling the bullet. Back your crimp off a little bit as there is no advantage to a crimp that strong.

My friend was loading .45 acp and switched over to 300BLK. He forgot to change the powders and it ended up looking exactly like the picture above. My vote would be wrong powder as I don't see anyway that a double charge could do that without serious problems just trying to put the bullet in the case...

My suggestion for the Beta mag would be for a lighter bullet made for the 300BLK. I would think the 110gr barnes black tips would run very well in them as the profile works well and they are not that far off from the weight of the 75gr .223 that I run flawlessly in them with. I would say the most popular powders are h110 and A1680. But there are plenty of others that work great, I personally use h110 and IMR4227 most of the time. I probably used the wrong nomenclature but it was the best I could come up with to describe drilling the barrel so you could pin the gas block in place.
