Re: New AR15-22 for me!
Well , this thread has motivated me to start back on my first project . I took the preassembled factory upper apart and rebuilt it using a standard AR15 upper . No polishing or fitting was done . Placed it on my Spike's lower with the binary trigger and the mag adaptor and tried her out . One mag of...

Re: New AR15-22 for me!
No , you misread . The Anderson upper with the 4-1/2 worked from the start . The CCI mini mags stay subsonic in the 4-1/2 , but give the boost needed to not only work the action but also the Franklin Armory binary trigger . The CCI also tends to burn clean . Subsonic ammo in conversion / Ars tend to...

Re: So how cold is it??
Currently 65 , looking for a high of 78 . Dropped down to 55 last night . Had to get up and throw a couple more cats on the bed to keep warm .

Re: New AR15-22 for me!
Yep , they work like the M1 carbine mags , the follower holds the bolt back , but remove the mag and the bolt closes . The S/W mags are hit and miss without the adaptor , but the adaptor houses the block that is activated by the mag follower and then lifts the gun's bolt stop . My 4-1/2 unit is a CC...

Re: New AR15-22 for me!
Missing one thing : https://www.redi-mag.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=52 Allows you to use your mags in the new upper and have BHO and rapid reloads . Chris PS Franklin Armory binary triggers are a hoot in these . I have one in my S/W and one in my SBR lower with a dedicated 4-1/2 inch suppr...

Re: 7.62x39 SBR?
It would be doable . If that is what he wants , go for it . I was going to build a SBR M1 carbine , but went with an AR lower instead . I'm glad I did in that I've acquired SBR uppers in .22LR , 223 , 300 B/O and 458 Socom so far . Much more versatile .

Re: Put Everything in the NFA
Well , first off right out of the gate , in '86 , with a perfect record of over 50 years of zero crime commission , what did the government do to machineguns ? If one cannot learn from that , well , what can I say ? Second , I think a " gun card " is a great idea . You apply for one and g...

Re: Spikes has a new lower marketed to the millennials...looks promising!
They are out !!!! Bought one a couple of weeks ago . Went to the local engraver and had a sad faced snowflake placed on the blank side of the mag housing . Built it up with a Magpul ACS mill spec and a Limbsaver recoil pad as well as a Franklin Armory BSF3 . I also sent off the paperwork to get it S...

Re: Republicans introduce antigun law !
It affects us all . Revolver shooters , no more trigger jobs , speed loaders , lighter springs , opened up cylinders , full moon clips , etc. Black powder shooters , no wooden blocks holding a patch and ball , no flask spouts , no paper or plastic powder / bullet carriers , no short starters , no un...
