Re: first loads, a few questions.
If you modify your mags to remove or reduce the rib, or you use something like the newer Lancer AWM which already have a reduced rib, you can load as long as you want while still ensuring you have adequate neck tension(some say at least the diameter of the bullet seated into the case so in our case...

Re: Flat primers!
When I set up my dies everything miked out to specs and I double checked again I also have some brass that I ordered from Carolina brass co and it looks the same as the brass I made so I do not think that sizing was the issue IMO I think it may be the primers are a little soft. I will know when I t...

Re: Flat primers!
I did not say that I am using a AAC 9 inch barrel. The CCI 400 could be fine in a longer barrel, but they just do not seem to work in shorter barrels. As you can see they are built lighter than the 450 or the 41's. What does barrel length have to do with primer construction? I personally use CCI 40...

Re: New Remington 300 BLK UMC Subsonic ammunition.
I heard from my distributor yesterday that Remington will be dropping the UMC subsoinc 300 blk ammo. That sucks... So, your distributor is telling you that Remington is dropping the newly developed UMC Subsonic 300BLK ammo that was just introduced a couple months ago and has even been recently seen...

Re: Shutdown?
FYI - Spoke with a class 3 dealer friend of mine who said that the shutdown is definitely affecting NFA stuff. He had called YHM to check on his dealer to dealer transfer status and was told no paperwork is being processed at this time. Yep, No paperwork is going through. They supposedly aren't eve...

Re: Annealing question
This may be a stupid idea but I need opionions. I cast lead bullits & have an accurate thermometer. Can I get the melted lead to 650 and dip my brass in to about the shoulder & anneal it. I know this sounds crazy but I had this idea last night while organizing my reload room. Won't you be l...
