Re: Hello from North Carolina. I have had a 300

Live in NC too. Western part. 300 Blackout is my favorite. No long range shots are needed where I live. To many hills, mountains and trees. If you can save your brass, (in my case finding my ejected brass) reloading saves a lot of money. Powder per round is cheap as are primers. Bullets can be had ...

Re: 92lb Button Buck Hornady Sub x and ST300P Mk2

Gore https://i.imgur.com/DFCs09fh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/rj0I0SRh.jpg I was hunting on the edge of a field into the woods. Behind me were 2 young does when I took the shot. Even a Subsonic suppressed is not super quiet. The impact alone on flesh is pretty loud. The 2 does took off after the shot b...

Re: Hornady 190 gr Sub-X load data

It's not "quieter" if it's super sonic. A sonic crack is very loud no matter what. It's like saying a 9mm is quieter than a 44 mag. I think less loud is the optimum term.

Just to honor a good man

I learned tonight that a good friend and customer of my shop passed away tonight of a heart attack. I spoke to him this morning as he came in for a BS session and a AM Cheerwine soda. I will miss his musings and life lessons. He had been out West, killed elk and mule deer, killed countless southern ...

Never forget

It's easy to forget, with all the crap that has occurred in our country this year, that so many Americans died on this day for simply being Americans. Take a moment to remember in your busy day, that blow to our country drug us into a quagmire that cost even more lives. God bless our Country, our Co...

Re: What is your quietest loads from a bolt gun?

Tons of info here http://www.300blktalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=92768 and on the load data sticky below that. Faster powders are generally quiet. For what you are doing VV 105 or VV110 might be just the ticket. Play with seating depths for best accuracy. I use CCI 450's for 300 BLK. Givi...
