Re: POA shift with suppressors a poor excuse

if hanging something light like a magnetospeed off the end of the barrel messes with harmonics, i dont see how hanging a 8-12oz centerfire can off the end wont - at least a little bit. dont have a lot of hands on with it, other than my heavy barrel 22lr - but that's an aluminum can and on a bull ba...

Re: POA shift with suppressors a poor excuse

Things are radically different "down under" Every US silencer maker works hard to minimize POI shift, but they all have SOME shift. I would love to not have this issue but all my guns shoot to different POI with a can attached Ever had the rifle and suppressor together checked by a gunsmi...

POA shift with suppressors a poor excuse

So after reading about so many people having large POA shifts with suppressor and through never having had an issue myself with any of the 20 or so different types of suppressors ive owned I talked to a couple of gun smiths here. Here being New Zealand.. Between them these guys had 50 years of exper...

Re: Suppressed plinking .38 spl vs. 308w vs 300 aac.

I disagree. Use an appropriate powder for the task and it is a non-issue. The BLK is better than 308 because it will cycle an AR15 whereas most subsonic 308 won't cycle an AR10/AR308. In a bolt gun neither is better than the other. [/color] Thats true your throwing a 220gr at the same speed out of ...

Re: Suppressed plinking .38 spl vs. 308w vs 300 aac.

.308 can be a bitch to get to go subsonic. ...too much case volume and the pills have this odd tendency of stopping in the barrel if you get a light load or sudden change in atmospherics. I did have reliable data in a magazine around here somewhere but it escaped me when I just tried to hunt it out....

That's golden. I've done the odd fake one over years like a tube with wheel nuts in to give a nice rattle.

Merry Christmas from the South Pacific enjoying the sun having a beer and bbq here.

Re: Most common powders closest to Lilgun?

Another one you may walk past and not notice is ADI 2205. Australia made but it finds its way around the place and falls as almost an exactly replica of Lil gun.

Re: Night shooting Reds with 300blk

Howdy, Nice shootin'! Hey! Since I'm old, fat and lazy, shooting deer out the window of my truck is how I like to hunt, especially when using a short barreled .300Blk AR. The suppressor is handy when shootin' inside the truck but makes it a little hard to swing the gun around. Paul Its a blast gett...

Re: Night shooting Reds with 300blk

Skite .verb Australian /NZ Boast: SKITE... she did it just so that she could skite about it. The first couple of deer dropped where they had been standing but head shots will do that. The second two being a bit further away got a bit of move on after a few rounds whizzed around them and i got a bit ...

Re: Night shooting Reds with 300blk

Nice job, now make me real jealous and tell me how much a suppressor costs down there. For a rimfire $25 -150. I like a Matias gun smiths monocore $80 (45usd) For a center fire $250 to $800 Best in class today is about $350 (220usd) Thats over the counter, off the Internet or my kids can pick me up...
