Re: RARR now available with AR Magazine
So what does the Magpul stock use, the factory 300 BLK mag? It takes AICS short mags: https://www.magpul.com/products/hunter-american-stock-ruger-american-short-action Magpul makes AICS mags, but not in 5.56 or 300 Blackout : https://www.magpul.com/firearms-accessories/pmags/bolt-action Correct mag...

Re: OAL and chambering issues in RARR
Just a thought...I live in the Florida panhandle...Milton Florida. Maybe post your city, state and you might be near a forum member that could help. I have had a member come to my farm and was able to help him out.
Again, just a thought.

Re: OAL and chambering issues in RARR
I had a similar problem with another Blackout rifle. Turned out that when I started measuring the loaded rounds vs comparing the measurement to SAAMI specs https://www.pinterest.com/pin/204069426844617826/?autologin=true that the case neck wall thickness of some cases was too thick resulting in the ...

Re: Thoughts about an 8.25" sbr for hogs.......
Should be OK if the distances are kept under 100yd. I shot my largest (272 pounds) at 100yd with Nolser 125gr ballistic tip out of an 8" bbl (short bbl reduced the velocity). Bullet went through shield on one side, hit the spinal column and stopped. Did not kill boar, but paralyzed the spinal c...

Re: Misfires RARR300Blkout Experiment
I have 2 RARR's. 1 for day and 1 setup for night hunting. I was having about 3-4% failures to fire with my handholds. Switching to CCI #400 from the Wolf KVB223M (a harder primer) fixed the failures to fire for me with both RARR's (and in my Micro7, Handi Rifle, and Remington M700). Prior to obtaini...

Re: Wolf Small Rifle Primers
The box says NCSR 223Rem. No designation pertaining to AR. The chart that you linked me to only shows one small rifle primer. I assume by your not mentioning it that you do not have the white boxes that contained 5 bricks of primers inside. The white box is what has the Murom primer part numbers. T...

Re: Loads For A Hog Gun
In the Blackout, I've taken hogs with the Nosler 125gr Ballistic Tips and Barnes 110gr Black Tips in my hand loads. Nosler's were fine on sows and boars under 125 pounds, giving fine penetration. I switched to the Barnes to get 2-3 inches more penetration on the bigger boars, which is what I wanted....

Re: Wolf Small Rifle Primers
Note: These are my opinions based upon my research and usage. Your results may vary, depending upon your lot of powder and the ambient temperature. First we have to figure out exactly what the factory part number is of the primers you have. Wolf and Tula branded primers (the same primers from the sa...

Re: How Many Loadings
I don't keep track of the number of reloads, but my observations for common headstamps on 5.56 brass converted to Blackout have been:
LC lasts the longest.
Winchester has necks splits the soonest.
Federal has the primer pockets get loose the soonest.

Re: New member barrel question on 300 Blackout pistol build....
FWIW, I have a DD 10.3" Blackout upper. Of my dozen or so Blackout bbls, I found it to be of "average" accuracy, not the best, not the worst, middle of the pack. The accuracy was plenty fine for any Blackout purpose (100yd groups with ammo it liked shot off a rest with a scope set to...
