Re: CVA pistols

Bang, thanks for the feedback. I'm looking into having a grip made with vertical picattiny rail so that, with the Sig picattiny-to-folding buffer tube adapter, I can very easily switch between near original configuration, to pistol with brace configuration. For those that just received their Scout V...

Re: CVA pistols

Bang, what do you think of the buffer tube adapter and brace setup? Does the 3D printed adapter seem robust? I see that the adapter is available with and without finger grooves - how does the grip feel without them. I was consider getting the one without grooves and slipping a Hogue handgun sleeve o...

BTW, there are 10 of these pistols left on Gunbroker. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/797427354
Now there are 5 left. I wonder if there is a twelve step program for 300BLK....

Re: RCBS small Base Die - worth it or not?

I use aluminum oxide polishing compound. I have 300, 600 and 1,200 grit that I dab on a shop rag. I slip shrink tube over the threaded shaft and chuck it into a cordless drill. It doesn't take much time or effort to remove .0005 or more (measure often).

Re: Powder Shootout. CFE Black vs A1680

I've had this exact issue happen. My best educated guess was that there were two issues: 1: The barrel was new and there were sharp edges in the chamber that was shaving the coated bullets. 2: The coated bullets were oversized at about .312. I shot a several hundred supersonic jacketed rounds throug...

Re: Hans Solo Blackout?

I'm considering building an upper like this that I can swap between SBR and pistol lowers. Are there any concerns about hot gasses escaping into the (right-handed) shooter's face if the bolt should shomehow unlock while firing? I like the idea of being able to charge with the left hand, but wonderin...

Re: To You Guys Who Anneal With Tempilaq

I use 750° inside the neck. It will clean up with SS pin tumbling. I only use it only for setup, and reuse the brass for this purpose. I drill out the primer pockets to ensure that they don't get mixed in with good brass (in case I over anneal the test pieces). Oh, and I use lower temp. stripes on t...

Re: Factory Remington 700 pistol in .300blk

I need to determine if the rear accepts standard AR buffer tubes. I've watched/read at least a half dozen reviews of this pistol and not a single one answers that question. If it does, it would make a sweet sub hunting rifle....ummm....I mean pistol-with-a-brace. I had the same thought a mon...

I thought my Mystic-X was quiet until I got the Leonidas. I'm impressed.
