Agree, may not be getting that last round up fast enough to get in front of the bolt. Could be a little over gassed too.

Re: Not picking up the next Round

I had a fresh build that was short stroking the other day. Took it apart, everything checked out and everything was aligned... (Built if for a friend) The fix was simple. Clean and dry the bolt, sit and hand cycle it till you cant stand it any more. Then lube the bolt up really good (run it wet) He ...

Re: Why is it so hard to shoot subs?

Good discussion gents. Growing up, I learned to shoot cast bullets in SA handguns at stupid long distances...well, because Elmer could do it. Some of this bullet lobbing has transferred to my BLK sub loads, hits are easier when you picture the hold over in the form of an arc. I had a lovely lass wa...

Re: Why is it so hard to shoot subs?

Just a thought. I wonder about the physics of sonic vs subsonic. Is the supersonic flight environment (envelop) more favorable to accurate flight than sub sonic? We know that bullets can get destabilized transitioning to subsonic. Air reacts very differently on surfaces of a supersonic item than a s...

Re: Why is it so hard to shoot subs?

Just a discussion to get people thinking. There is a lot of frustration shooting subs with any kind of precision. There are some very good reasons for it, I'll throw a couple out there. The basic premise is that subs at 100 takes about the same skill as some other cartridges at 3-500. Because the m...

Political: There is a war going on for the future and culture of this country and its digital.

While we clean our rifles, hone our skills and put away ammo for "a rainy day", the guy at the carwash with gauges in his ears and a few misguided tats may actually be firing the first salvo. I am a huge (obsessive) follower of social media in the insurgency of #MAGA. Why? Because my obser...
