Re: Anyone try any 30 carbine bullets in your blk ?
Unfortunately, I haven't had much in the way of luck in the accuracy department with Hornady 110gr. .30 Carbine FMJ's. This is out of (2) bolt guns I have in 300 Blackout. At 100 yds. accuracy was poor. I personally, use them now for 50 yds. plinking or for case forming. There are other brands and s...

Re: REM 700 and cast lead bullets
lot of guys using cast bullets for the Blackout. FYI, there's a large number of threads on this very topic on this site. You might want to check the handloading section as it will have the bulk of what you seek. There are several popular and readily available cast bullet molds made with the Blackout...

Re: Ruger 300blk
^^^ Without a doubt, the best bolt action I've tried in the 300 Blackout has been the Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard. Reliable feeding and ejection from the first round on. No dicking around with ejectors or ball bearings common to other designs. While I've never tried a M77 before, it appears to work...

Re: Super Sonic 168's in a Bolt Gun
While not SMK's, they're close enough. I've had better overall results to date with 168gr. A-MAX over 167gr. Lapua Scenar bullets. Here's a link to a thread I created some time ago. 14.3gr.-14.8gr. of H110 should work well in your bolt gun. http://www.300blktalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=128&t=8...

Re: Ruger 300blk
Congratulations!
You're the first I've heard to use a M77 for a re-barrel to 300 Blackout. Might I ask why you haven't posted some pics?

Not something I'd own but it's an "A+" for for being unique. I'm sure it's fun to shoot.

Re: My GoPro hog hunt
Well, that was interesting. You didn't even bother to look back after the hog had passed. You must have been confident that you anchored his ass good.
Looks like a great deal of fun! Where was the hunt and would you recommend the outfitter?

Re: remington 700....300 blk vs 308
If you don't already own a .308 Win. at this point, I'd probably be more inclined to buy one of those first. A 16.5" bolt Remington in .308 Win would give you a lot more flexibility as far as cartridge performance goes. If you want a Blackout bolt gun, I can hardly fault you for that. I've got ...

Re: 300 BLK Bolt gun picture thread
^^^ You've got a great rifle to start with. If I had known Remington was eventually going to release a 700 in 300 BLK I would have waited for it instead of doing a custom build. As it stands I'm happy with what I have.
Great pic. All of us should be as lucky to use our Blackouts in a similar fashion.

Re: 300 BLK VOR-TX vs Car Door- Barnes Barrier-Blind Bullet
Maybe not tin snips. Ha! Whatever is needed under the circumstances is what I should have said. I took note that you shot the door at a distance of 15 yds. correct? It would be interesting to see what results would be obtained at longer distances like 50 yds. for example. Given a situation where law...
