Re: Does this forum stifle innovation? Do we drive out the new guy?

I've been a member for a few years now but more often than not, I lurk, (favorite thing I've found thanks to this site is the 90gr xtp load for my handirifle)... My work reminds me a lot of how things work on this forum, roughly every 2 months I have to deal with 12-20 new faces, some have lots of e...

Re: Sig Sauer Echo1

I've heard of the pvs14 but never really looked into them, all I ever saw was people with helmet rigs, so I never looked for a gun mount. Doing a helmet rig isn't really something I'm interested in.

Sig Sauer Echo1

So I went to the Dallas Cabelas and I found that Sig has an optics line now...that was a bit of a surprise. Then I went up to Sherman to a pistol range and they had the Sig Echo1 thermal. I've tried some searching around and haven't found any real usage videos everything seems to be SHOT show kinda ...

Re: 50th at last

I enjoy seeing all the posts from your trips, where in NZ is this? It looks like your optics changed between pics, do you have quick detach ones that hold zero nicely? Do you tape the suppressor to keep junk out of it?

Re: AAC Handi Rifle

I very much enjoy my handi rifle, I prefer shooting the 90gr xtp's with trailboss through mine.

Re: M!A loaded

I love the M1 family, currently I have a socom2 eventually I want to get a scout scope for it since my eyes aren't great for range. Some day maybe I'll put the money on an standard size m1a but I want a wood stock. Side note: When I only had indoor ranges to take mine to, it was a lot of fun firing ...

Re: Straight Pull Bolt Action Project Decision Help!

I have thought about doing this for a .223. Currently I have bolt & semi of both .308 and 300blk but only have semi/AR for .223 so kinda wanted something different but also single shot. After coming across the POF Revolt that really caught my interest...except they are way overpriced and the cha...

Re: Bullet embedment concern - new to 300 BLK loading, please help.

Are you maybe confusing the load specific COAL with the SAAMI spec? My hornady 9th edition book shows the #3035 at COL 2.220". Max as far as SAAMI specs goes is 2.260" As far as 125's go hornady shows 2.100" for theirs and Nosler shows 2.060", I dont have any sierra info. I've ne...

Re: 300blk ammo local in houston area?

I've had luck at a couple Academy's and Carters Country for remington umc and hornady. I bought freedom munitions a long time ago and don't recall having any issues in my 700 or AR, but the primer cups are a tad hard for my handirifle, usually took 2 tries. But Gemtech is running a pretty sweet deal...
