Re: Handi extended scope mounting
Not quite the magnification you're looking for, on my Handi I use a Vortex Strike Fire that came with a screw in 2xmag and on a high cantilever mount. Looking online I guess the new strike fire 2's don't come with the screw in magnifier anymore. You may be able to go with a red dot with a large magn...

Re: 300 blk Pistol Build
So you got no response being nice but you think mouthing off is a better option? I wonder why you posted it in general talk instead of under the ar15 section. It's a build, you wanted light and cost effective. You set your goals and appear to have done the research to arrive at a list of parts that ...

Re: Rem 700 300 aac, sd 16/half inch barrel
Just measured mine. From tip of barrel to the very tail of the receiver (just behind the safety lever) I have 23.5".

Re: Did I mess up on some reloads?
I'm travelling so don't have any of my reload books or notes with me and I don't do any 150gr reloads so can't really add to that. I'm not a hugely experienced reloader but I generally stick around the book values or also refer to the hodgdon site and some of the bullet manufacturers online reloadin...

Re: Who cleans their mags? Or had failures due to dirty mags?
I've never cleaned my pmags that I use for 300blackout, don't have any usgi mags anymore, my lower receiver gets a lot of unburnt powder and grit in it though. Using my sig1911 suppressed I have to clean those mags after every trip if I used my osprey45. 2 are the original Sig mags and 1 Wilson comb...

Re: Scope turret covers?
Thanks Dellet, I might install the shims on the vortex, at least then I would know if they got bumped. I may look into the neoprene ones but I think I'd be along the same lines as CW and take it off once out of the case. If I got adventurous maybe a piece backpack style material short enough to fit ...

Scope turret covers?
I was out hunting a few weeks ago and during the trip I took my bolt action 300blk to the range to test some reloads and found that the elevation had accidentally been shifted by a lot. I have the nikon p300 scope and it has exposed turrets, and so does my expensive vortex on my 308 bolt action, I'm...
