Re: Rainier 8.5 Ultra Match is a no go
Interesting. When I was looking for a short 300 BLK bbl someone suggested a 1:7 rather than a 1:8 twist. The theory was that in shorter barrels the 1:8 might be sensitive to the shape of the projectile whereas the 1:7 would not be. I have a 16" 1:8 that works fine with 220 SMKs, 220 Nosler OTMs...

Re: Finally got my can in and tested it out on my 300 blk!!!
I use an Octane 9 with 3 lug on an 8.5" and a 30 cal Ti Arbiter on a 16". The shortie is pretty quiet ... the longer rifle is very quiet! Am using 220 SMKs, 225 Hornady OTMs or Nosler 220 OTMs in the 300 BLK. Haven't tried the Octane 45 with the 300 BLK but have with a 10" .338 Spectr...

Re: Misery loves company... What NFA stuff awaits you?
Have a 5.56 Saker and a 7.62 Specwar in NFA jail. Might clear by the end of the year as no local dealer does e-forms.
Fortunately, have other toys to make the wait easier.

M16 is a shortie as registered ... but doesn't matter anyway.

Re: CMMG 8.5" 300blk
After getting the SBR stamp back I built an upper with the 8.5" 1:7 CMMG bbl. Planned the upper for subs only as I have a 16" upper for supers and subs. Put a TROS 3 lug adapter on the bbl and used a 9.5" YHM light rail. Opened the port to 0.120" Works fine with my SBR lowers and...

Am a Ph.D. Chemist ... retired. Elemental lead is not that bad ... if not made into dust and inhaled. Lead acetate IS that bad!!! Do NOT get the solution on you, ingest or breath it!!!! However ... the lead can be precipitated from spent dip by adding chloride ions to it. Make a saturated solution o...

Re: 300 Blackout Adapters for use with 9MM silencers SUBSONI
Am using an Octane 9HD on an 8" 1:7 CMMG barrel with a 3 lug adapter and subsonic 220 gr SMKs or 225 gr Hornady OTMs. Same can works fine with a 10" 1:7 .338 Spectre barrel w subsonic 250 gr OTMs but am using a fixed 5/8x24 thread adapter. Pitch is different than 9mm and different than 300...

Re: SilencerCo's new product "announcement" on Facebook
Kinda figures.
Just bought a Specwar 7.62 and a 5.56 Saker. Might well have bought two Sakers if the 7.62 Saker was available.
Oh well ... the Specwar was for a specific .308 rifle. Don't expect to move it around much.

Clarification please ... Can the local dealer submit a Form 4 to transfer a can to a private citizen's trust within his state? In other words ... can my dealer submit a Form 4 to transfer a can to my Trust? Have two cans being transferred to him now. Would like to take the fastest way to affect the ...

Re: Eform1 trust file it to large
The primary copy of my Trust is in the form of a Word document that i can print as a .PDF. Looks like it will be about 1.7 mb as a PDF. How did you handle the pages that had to be signed and notarized?
