Re: Ruger American Ranch 300BLK - Magazine options?

So does anybody know what the difference is between the ranch rifle that accepts pmags and the one that uses a rotary mag? All I have heard is that the bolt is different but I can’t find pictures at all. I’m willing to modify my receiver if it will take the stock that accepts the pmags. I had the r...

Re: T/C Contender 300 blackout strangeness

Well I went back out today, 34f outside.... But I was off work and had time. Took my Ruger ranch rifle in 300 blackout with me as well. I sighted both rifles in at 50 yards with the exact same load of 110gr Vmax bullets, about 2100fps out of both guns. I then switched to the 220gr Nosler rn bullets....

Re: 2019 KY Deer Season

Looking good, I had yesterday afternoon to hunt, didn't see a thing, just got wet. I have worked all of modern gun season here in Ky so far. Well late muzzle loader is coming up and I still have my crossbow.

Re: T/C Contender 300 blackout strangeness

Yep, the only thing I can think of is dwell time in the barrel and the recoil impulse making it go higher. Other than that, if they are leaving on the same plain as each other is figures that the slower heavier bullet would drop more first. Greg Sub sonic rounds behave differently than supersonic.

T/C Contender 300 blackout strangeness

Hey guys, Start with the specs first, 16.25" long, 1-8" twist MGM barrel. Was working with this one today on 110gr loads, getting ok results. So I decided to shoot some of my Hornady 190gr sub-x rounds, this is where it got weird, at least for me, 50 yards was the range, the 110gr are shoo...

BBP,

Yea, I still like my round balls. It was drizzling rain that morning or I would have had the flintlock out like I did on Saturday.

Not 300, but muzzle loader deer down.

Well this weekend was muzzle loader here in Kentucky, Saturday was a bust with nothing showing all day. Sunday was drizzling rain in the morning. About a hour or so after sunrise I had a small racked 8 point wonder out about 15 yards from where I was standing in the middle of the old farm road, he s...
