Re: Load advice for 190 gr Nosler HPBT
I have used 7.5-9.0gr LilGun with several different bullets ranging from 190-225gr thru 9"-16" barrels without sticking a bullet or blowing anything up.

Re: Handloads for Sig Rattler
but is really a mute point since you are using a non expanding bullet that will go through a target where kinetic energy really matters like an ice pick thus transferring minimal energy to said target. You know, that’s a really good point. Do you have any experience with more “expansive” bullets? I...

Re: Handloads for Sig Rattler
Personally I would group the load to at least 100yds to see how your load does before switching directions. I am of the opinion that some get a little too wrapped around the axle when it comes to es and sd numbers when doing load development as it doesn’t account for barrel harmonics. You can always...

Re: First reloads for 300 black out
Too get a better idea of stability try attaching your target a cardboard box. The need for further testing depends on your end goal for your load. You didn’t post any chronograph numbers so I have no idea if you are within the subsonic realm as I have not done any testing with that Hodgdon powder. B...

Re: First reloads for 300 black out
The target boards at my local club are plywood and it has been my experience that when slow heavies hit a target stapled to plywood the bullets most often start to tumble as they pass through leaving slightly oblong shaped holes.

Re: Back from range with new rifle
It boils down to leverage. The further away your rest (pivot point) is from the shooter and the lower the center of gravity is the more stable you will be.

Re: Back from range with new rifle
Did you shoot those groups with that rifle configured as pictured?
If so I would suggest ditching the grip pod as a front, I mean mid support and try again using some sort of a front bag placed out towards the muzzle end of the handguard. I would bet you will an immediate improvement in group size.

I have found that 19.3gr of 300MP shoots very accurately when topped with any 110-130gr flat base bullet out of my blackout chambered ARs

Re: Pistol Gas Sub Loads, Various Bullets & Powders
Thank you Swissy for sending me a butt load of these troublesome projectiles. After expending several hundred during testing I have settled on 11.1gr Accuarate LT-30 as the best all around performing  load. Now to dust off the 16" carbine gassed gun and see what happens. https://i.imgur....
