Re: What's wrong with making 300 BLK brass?
The abundance of once fired 5.56/.223 brass means we BLK guys can choose to make our own. So far, the quality of my efforts has been rewarding. Today, I just finished another 400+ that were made from a manufacturer's damaged brass. Many with good bullets pushed into the case. One batch was all FC 11...

Re: HELP!!!
I just looked at some IMR 4227 that I've had for a few years, it does indeed look like that, though even under my lighted magnifier it is quite small. It has proven to be darn quiet in some of my test loads.

Re: Whats your accent?
Grew up in NW Montana, with BC to the north. When visiting in South Carolina, some folks asked if we were Canadian...eh. Meanwhile, I understood dang little of what them folks were dishin'. As a side note, when explaining to some locals in Estelle where I was from, not a single one knew where MT was!

Re: 4th of July range day
Sounds like a great event to partake in, never been. Now that you have refreshed my foggy cranium, I bump into a a older gent who speaks of these meets and his experience when he lived in the mid west somewhere. Please message me if you plan on doing one, would be great to see ya and experience some...

Re: Ruger American Ranch 300BLK - Magazine options?
The really fun thing about this BLK in a bolt gun is the wide spread of bullet weights, powders and loads that an AR platform just cannot do readily. As for loads, the data base here is chock full of good info. My favorite is the 125 gr TNT over some H110 or 300-MP. I was about to order from the Luc...

Re: 4th of July range day
Pretty cool story on that rifle, and some pretty fine accuracy. I know a lot about a few things in the shooting world, this type of cartridge loading is new to me, now added to the data base. After your visit here and at the gun show, I got a sense of your interest in these old shooters. No doubt an...

Re: VihtaVuori Powders for 300 BLK
I've not used the faster two numbers, but N120 is the shiz in my bolt gun. Stupid accurate with 155 coated cast up to 225 coated cast, and it works very nicely in the suppressed AR 10.5" pistol. I used VV data as a guide to start the tinkerin' with loads.

Re: Adjustable Gas Block settings questions.
As a constant tinker type hand loader...I've begun to wise up and note the gas setting on a label attached to the ammo box. Same bullet in a box with different powders or primer can nullify any good info you hope to collect. Even if shooting factory loaded, things can get mixed up with same or simil...
