Re: Oh my, the ignorance
One of the funniest stories I remember was a year or two after the 17HMR came out. I was in a very small shop that was only open a few hours a week to the public. He had decent prices on stuff so it was worth it to try to figure out his schedule. Anyways I was in there looking around as the owner w...

Re: Need an SBR
here i thought if it didnt have "SBR" engraved on it it couldnt be a machine gun   I think I have the NFA thing figured out. It is what is engraved on the receiver and not what is on the Form 1/4. So I am off to engrave my lower with "Legal Machine Gun". That w...

Re: Need an SBR
The NFA item must be engraved with the name person or entity as well as the city/state of the maker. If it is an individual it will be: John Smith Anywhere, CA. If it is a trust then it will be: John Smith Trust Anywhere, CA Also, no part of the trust name can be abbreviated. You cannot engrave &qu...

Re: Oh my, the ignorance
I have had several people offer to by a gun for my asking price at shows but only if I convert it up FA. I laugh and tell them it is illegal. Then they say it is only illegal if they get caught and they won't get caught. I sometimes swear they are ATF agents because people can't be this stupid. wou...

Re: Oh my, the ignorance
sounds like the guys at several oil change shops (i no longer go to) who insist on arguing with me for changing my high mileage blend oil at 3000 miles (instead of 5000 miles). even though i'm driving an average of 3000 miles per month................what the hell does it matter if i come in and pay...

Re: Need an SBR
correct me if i'm wrong.. but don't ALL nfa items have to be engraved & serialized for tracking reasons?
or do you just not want one engraved with YOU / your trust as the maker?
