Re: Hello,Any locals to Rockford Illinois
I bought a 1986 Fiero GT in Rockford in 1998. It's still in my garage. In Colorado. Born in Geneva, grew up in Morris, left for what I thought was greener grass 12 years ago. Welcome to the forum.

Re: Mark 12 Mod 0 in 300 Blk
Pretty sure the Navy's SPR runs a rifle length gas system, at least that's what I copied when I built my version of one. I gotta say though, the SPR is a reacher-outer, takes the 5.56 out to about the end of it's usability, kinda the opposite of what the 300blk is for. If I was gonna build a big, he...

Re: Alleged subsonic loads not subsonic?
I have a Leonidas. Do this: Lock your bolt back, go in the bathroom and close the door, shoulder the rifle and hit the ping pong paddle. That, plus a slight increase in volume from port noise, is what it should sound like with subs. After a split second, you'll hear a thump in the berm (or clang on ...

Re: New to re-loading - fist batch too hot?
Getting started reloading is scary. Getting started reloading with a cartridge that was recently a wildcat and involves a bottleneck? Even scarier. I started off with straight wall pistol cartridges, never deviating from published data, and only moved on to bottlenecks (which will double your invest...

Re: Dangerous Plastic Cased Ammo PCP
Seems the issue was the fluted chamber, I think that leaves portions of the case unsupported. Has worked fine with brass forever, but the plastic didn't like it.

Re: Wilson Combat bad-mouthing the 300 Blk
This is the first I am hearing about this 7.62x40...you know what. No. Just plain out No. I'm not even going to look into it. I don't want to hear about any more of these freaking AR-15 cartridges. It seems like everyday there is something else they are trying to shove down our throats. I plan to f...

Re: Dangerous Plastic Cased Ammo PCP
The whole existence of PolyCase was to develop a polymer round that couldn't be reloaded by bad guys in some jungle in South America. If I remember right, .380 was the biggest they ever figured out, everything else self destructed. They shifted their focus to polymer bullets, and now the ARX is out,...

Step in the right direction, anyway. I don't even hunt, but congrats PA, and good job in that last election as well, you look good in red.

Re: Any Glock Tinkerers Here?
A-game, I got the Gen 4 for the interchangeable backstraps and the larger mag release button. Turns out I don't use any of the backstraps, so it's the same frame size as the Gen 3 SF anyway...that mag release button turns out to be what I paid for. Live and learn I suppose. Golf, 9x25 Dillon barrel ...
