Re: Drilling a gas port.
A few suggestions. The hole in my gas tube did not align properly with the gas block, I noticed this before I put the roll pin in and it was an easy fix with a round file. Gas rings, check them. On a new bcg I just bought one ring was damaged right out of the box. Initial wear in of upper and bcg. M...

Re: Accurate 5744 and bullet selection.
Thanks for the advice. I ended up buying a small batch to test with, 100 Hornady 168gr HPBT for supers as I also have load data for that in a .308WIN. Figure if it sucks in 300BLK I have a second use for them. As for subs I got 200 Hornady 208gr HPBT. I have read a lot of good things about the 208gr...

Re: Velocity increases with COAL increase
Humm, I'm not familiar with 300blk reloading and h110 but does the powder fill the case? Possibly was compressing the powder a bit? If so, maybe ignition was retarded due to the primer not getting a good propagation into all the powder, now that its got more room it gets a better ignition? Either wa...

Re: Velocity increases with COAL increase
This is a guess, but first thing that comes to mind is the bullet is now seated very close to the lands and groves and you have little or no freebore. This would cause higher pressure to start with and may lead to a better burn and higher velocity maybe??

Accurate 5744 and bullet selection.
TLDR: need bullet suggestions for both supersonic and subsonic loadings using Accurate 5744, main criteria is the gun cycles properly. Pretty new here, but I lurk a lot and have used this site as a fantastic resource for all things 300BLK. That being said I just found 5744 in stock at powder valley ...

Re: Efile for 1 approved
I really need to get off my lazy bum and hit up that efile. Anyone know of a step by step tutorial to walk a person though the efile process? Bit late to answer the question but, I have a post over on ak files for this. Right now I don't think Eforms is accepting form 1 or 4 again yet. I haven't do...

Re: Form 1 300 Blackout SBR question on caliber

Re: Form 1 300 Blackout SBR question on caliber
I think all I can do is wait to see if its approved or not, make corrections if not and then if it does get approved I will probably notify ATF of permanent change before doing anything.

Form 1 300 Blackout SBR question on caliber
I have a eform form 1 in limbo now for about 6 weeks and may have entered incorrect information. I plan on doing a 300 blackout SBR but on the form where it asked for Caliber I put .308 did I screw up that up? How I read it, they wanted to know bore diameter not what it will be chambered in, I think...
