Anyone load thise with 1680? what kind of velocity did you see? Running it in quick load now but so far my actual numbers tend to be slower than QL calculates for other loads I've done.

Because I read too much
I was able to find this cool as hell new material that may make its way into body armor. Expanded metal foam had been around for a bit but researchers at University of North Carolina have made some that, in simple terms, is bullet proof. A short excerpt from the paper that published their data A hig...

Just use a spread sheet. Libra office is free and its Calc program is the same as Microsoft Excell. http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-still/ Next if your worried about anyone getting ahold of it, just encrypt it. Encryption has been supported by Windows since 7 I think. Here's how to d...

Re: Photon XT
I read your post from before and I think you gave a link which I think is no longer valid. Do you have an item number for the exact rings you ended up using? And when you say "light" are you talking about an IR Illuminator? Part number is 420585, Quick amazon search found these. http://ww...

Re: Photon XT
I was going to mount one on a Savage Mark ii FVSR, wondering if I can get scope to move back far enough. Anyone seen one set up on one? I looked up some pics of that gun and I would not mount a photon scope on it. I dont think the eye relief is enough. You have to have your eye right up on the rubb...

Re: Photon XT
I have one for my RARR 300BLK and have only mounted it, and used a laser bore sight to "zero" it. It is great for the price I think but there are a few things to know before buying one. The biggest issue is variance between the camera mounted at the front and how the tube is aligned. This ...

Re: Scope Dope requested.
I always have one brand of scope that I suggest for anyone looking for a reasonable priced scope that isn't crap, SWFA. Their fixed power scopes go up to 20x and they are all 300 bucks. For shooting paper fixed power is not an issue and I would hope 20x is enough power. If you read any reviews on th...

Re: Will this build (probably) cycle?
So I asked last week about a LWRC UC stock or Troy PDW, but I have decided that since I plan on having this rifle as a dedicated suppressed rifle, I'll want a slightly bigger stock - the LWRC compact. This also means I can use my standard carbine buffer tube. However, I'm not sure about the buffer ...
