Re: Dillon 550b

Probably varies based on what powder you use but i try to only fill my powder tube about 1/5 or no more than 1/4 and it seems to help me a bit with that. I dont load more than 50-100 max at a time Also surprised the small powder bar doesnt work for your supers. Thats all i use with imr4227, n110, an...

Re: Dillon 550b

Their "carbide rifle dies" are fully carbide according to their description. "we also offer .223 and .308 die sets with a full-length carbide sizing die." Thats why there is such a steep price tag between them and the standard steel. I believe they now have same offering for 300 ...

Re: Share some pictures of your stuff.

@walkers bay- i think the one on the bottom is a 303 lee enfield? Not sure about the top one though unless it another variation of an enfield? My "old military rifle" identification skills arent too great.

Re: Dillon 550b

I'm using Redding FL dies with their carbide expander button for loading 5.56 on a Dillon 550b. Don't know for sure but I think that's all the Dillon dies are, and for a lot less money. I spray a little lube on the outside of the cases with none inside the neck, and they run slicker than greased bu...

Re: Which powder for subs. Having problems.

Im no expert but that is awful grouping. Even my worst loads have never been that bad. Is there any chance you have a loose mount/scope ring? Worth checking. Years ago i had a great load for my 308 that was just all over and it had such a slight wobble in the garbage leupold mount that was nearly un...

Re: Hunting

1) Determine the muzzle velocity of your load(s). 2) Find the velocity needed for your bullet to expand (normally the bullet maker will have that data) and its Ballistic Coefficient. For example, the velocity needed for the Nosler 125gr Ballistic Tip is 1800fps per Nosler. 3) Plug the muzzle veloci...

Re: SBR 300 BO, subs question with red dots

Have you tried any other optic on the 9" rifle to verify that "this" rifle shoots your subs well? As far as the trs25 goes, i have one. Mounted it originally on a 7.5" blackout pistol and it worked well. Would shoot around 1.5-2.0" at 50yds with most loads. Then i mounted it...
