My new wildcat, the 6.5 Creedless
So I have been wanting to do this for a while now. I finally got everything I need except the reamer and tomorrow I will get that ordered. It is a wildcat based on the 256 Winchester Magnum which was popular in the 50's and 60's. There were factory loads as well as revolvers chambered in it. It is a...

Re: 200-230gr bolt action sub loads.
I have used Trail Boss for subsonic loads. I use 5-6 grains. I have compressed a lot of loads and never had an issue but I make sure to not over do it either.

Re: New to 300
I run an adjustable gas block on every AR I own, 5.56 but especially in my 300 Blackout ARs. Most ARs are over gassed from the factory for a couple of reasons. The biggest is companies do not want their guns to come back for a "warranty" repair because it won't cycle cheap combloc ammuniti...

Re: Trajectory for a 7.5 inch?
Trajectory has more to do with velocity than barrel length. The higher the velocity the less drop it will have.
A 30" barrel shooting a bullet at 1,000 fps will have more drop than a shorter barrel shooting the same bullet at 2,000 fps.

Re: What's wrong with making 300 BLK brass?
I make my own, made some yesterday. I do my own mostly because I read horror stories of people getting brass that have the shoulders bumped too far to be usable. I also have thousands of pieces of 5.56 brass. It also lets me cull brass I don't like the look of so I can ensure they are as identical a...
