Re: Anyone have a problem with a Sig QD mount not attaching to a Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 300 BO?

I am pretty sure that Sig will have a minimum thread length and shoulder diameter needed to use the tapered mounts. A quick call to customer service would likely give you that answer. Most manufacturers that I know of want about .630-.650. Basically 5/8" in length. 5/8" of an inch of thre...

This is proof that it's just a boutique round. R.Silvers spent a million dollars for product placement in a TV show for crying out loud. Who's R. Silvers? Robert Silvers was the person AAC tasked with developing the 300blk. He is also the head honcho of this forum. During the early days of the cart...

It is better to permanently change a 60.00 part than a barrel. You can put the muzzle brake on a lathe and remove material from the rear of the brake. Not a lot, just enough to give you the extra threads you want so you know you are within your buddies comfort zone. Every muzzle device that is thre...

Re: Anyone have a problem with a Sig QD mount not attaching to a Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 300 BO?

Your RARR in 300 Blackout has a thread pitch of 5/8x24. The nomenclature you are using is incorrect. The sig muzzle brakes are threaded 1/2x28 for 5.56QD silencers and 7.62QD silencers, also 5/8x24 for 5.56QD Silencers and 7.62QD silencers. Titanium or not makes no difference. There are additional ...

Re: Anyone have a problem with a Sig QD mount not attaching to a Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 300 BO?

I think your friend may have talked about turning down the outer diameter of the shoulder in order to engage all the threads on the break. When the brake hits the shoulder does it wobble after you torque it to spec? If it doesn't then you are fine. Edit: A precision alignment rode should always be ...

Anyone have a problem with a Sig QD mount not attaching to a Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 300 BO?

It's a Sig SRD762Ti in 7.62. My friend tried to attach it and said that the mount goes over the threads and only catches about 2-3 of them. He said it needed to be "downturned" but I don't know what that means. I don't think there is another mount specifically for 300 Blackout since it's ....
