Re: 300 AAC BLACKOUT FAQ
400+ yards does not seem realistic as a hunting round on deer size game with 300 BLK. My ballistic data chart 125 gr bullet, 2375 fps, 59 degrees F, 0 up/down angle and sees a 24 inch drop at 350 yards, zero wind and does not go to 400 yards. I could see ringing steel at extreme ranges but not on ga...

Re: NRA moving to Texas
I am not particularly in love with the NRA but do not know a suitable alternative that is nationwide.

NRA moving to Texas
My wife knew I was a member of the NRA and was giving me grief about them filing for bankruptcy. Good natured chiding as she has a concealed carry permit. We found out they were moving their home office from New York to Texas. They will still be around. We did not find out why. I assume taxes but th...

Walmart. Shortage or political
I don't need to buy ammo and am not looking for another gun right now. However while shopping at Walmart today I walked by the what use to be their firearm section. It was empty. No guns. Not a sales person.
Has Walmart joined the "dark side"?

Re: Can we get in line for some ammo?
I just sold a guy a couple thousand pistol primers. You would have thought I gave him a new truck. i can only imagine... especially if you sold him them at reasonable pricing! I learned my lesson with the last shortage 6-8 years ago. Bought primers 10,000 at a time for small rifle and pistol. I hav...

The slotted Sheridan gauge is the way to go. Measures all critical size issues. I have not used my Wilson gauge since I got it.

Re: dreams of nancy
She made another over-the-top comment about the incident at the Capitol. Called it an "Armed Insurrection". Another liberal said people with "guns" invaded the Capitol. Pretty easy to see most likely firearm owners will be the ones under attack. One of the yah-hoos that broke in ...

Re: Can we get in line for some ammo?
Think about reloading. I no longer have an ammo problem. Cut and size 223 brass if needed.

Re: 180 grain subsonic load in a ar platform
Do you have someway of determining bullet speed? My goal is somewhere around 950 fps. With the supersonic crack, it is more of a range than a specific fps point to stay under the supersonic crack. With a 180 gr bullet and LG, sub-sonic in an AR you most likely will need an adjustable gas block and/o...

Re: the Covid got me
plant.one, glade you are better. You are one of my favorite online gun people. My wife was telling me last night of these creeps at a California hospital that had vaccine earmarked for those that needed it. Instead they called their buddies to come get the vaccine. They got caught and used the excus...
