I think this problem is going to come down to barrels and powder. I'm still testing.
Is anyone using a 1:7 twist barrel and 1680 retaining the HTC coating?

Re: Leatherhead 220g RN coated test and info thread.
It's not the crimp. I had the same results from the bronze as I did the black HTC. I had no crimp on mine and they looked identical. Pulled bullets look like they have not been loaded but fired bullets are missing %50+ of the coating where the case contacts the bullets. There is still a light at the...

Re: Saker 762 diet (cleaning)
I've been using my pool to recover HTC and PC bullets. 3-3.5' of water stops subsonic 220-230 grain bullets and leave the bullets pristine.

One thing that jumps out at me right away is you will want to upgrade to a better size die than Lee. I started there first but quickly found from experience and reading hear that The Lee has problems converting 223 cases consistently. I use an RCBS Calipers. Bullet puller. Case lube. I also did not ...

Milestones in reloading
Thank you Industry for making the 300BLK ammunition so expensive. You forced me to start reloading 2.5 yrs ago. It is a fantastic endeavor and I really enjoy it. I was quickly adding up some of my reloading expenses for the last couple of years. I mainly shoot suppressed and smelt, cast, coat, conve...

Re: Set me straight!
I've shot 3K+ HTC and PC bullets through my 8" SBR/Chaotic and I've noticed no leading in the barrel but there is lead on the muzzle. I will take pictures next time I clean.
My Chaotic, which is not user serviceable, has gained almost 2oz since I've started shooting the HTC and PC bullets.
