Re: Next time someone compares Australia
Interesting article.. However, comparing Australia to the US in virtually any metric is dishonest, except land mass size. Approximately 90% of Australia is inhabited by Australian or European descendants. Most of the rest are Chinese or Indian [from wikipedia..]. There are 50% more African American...

Next time someone compares Australia
Next time some one compares the mass buy back and disarmament of law abiding citizens in Australia and says oh it's so safe there now. https://www.smh.com.au/national/queensland/outgunned-police-need-a-rifle-in-every-squad-car-brisbane-cop-says-20180228-p4z279.html Just remember that it an absolute ...

Re: So how cold is it??
Dam that's cold. It's 25C here at the moment. I was up country before Christmas and had to shoot into Christchurch and get the car tinted out because the kids were getting cooked and sunburnt while we were travelling. You can keep the sub zero stuff. Worst it gets in Southland is maybe -5C I work in...

What's the metric equivalent of a dime.
I haven't been on here in ages but have had success lately grouping mine at 400 meters on steel.
It's MOD groups but I'll take it.

Re: polishing a mil-spec AR trigger ?
So making the best of whats there is whats called for. like gunsmiths of old. Improving a guns trigger is becoming a lost art. Yes it is. Too many drop in parts available from multiple sources where people can run up their credit cards with near instant gratification with no experience necessary. A...

Re: polishing a mil-spec AR trigger ?
I've done this to several rifles and they're no giessle but the also cost nothingJethro99 wrote:Google "15 minute trigger job"
I do it to all of mine. lighter pull and smooths them out. Takes the 8 lb pull down to 3.5-5 lb. will cost you nothing. If not what you want/like you can always buy something.
