Re: man banned from EVERY walmart and samsclub in USA for open carry
I'm sorry, the open carry thing just plain baffles me...why would you? I schooled one young ninja, carrying his XDM and 3 mags openly, strutting around like a fool. I demonstrated just how easy it was to disarm him and ruin his day. Needless to say, the big oaf had a foul temper, but certainly no id...

Re: My Recent Range Trip, one problem.
30 caliber cans are not a good idea with .355-.356 bullet diameter! While there may be a can that has sufficient clearance, not likely a workable option. Short answer is..Nope. If you want to use on a 9mm PCC, a larger caliber or a modular type will be a safe choice.

Re: Subsonic Unsuppressed 300blk from 8.3" Barrel
A friend had a similar issue with heavies and CFE BLK, lock back on the empty mag but did not generate enough force forward to pick up a second round out of a loaded mag. He switched to 1680, 296 and H110 for a bit more pressure and his problem went away. This was also a brand new build with unknown...

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK
In regard to 11FS, according to Rob Behr at Western Powders, the relative burn rate is similar to W296. Slower than 4100, their online data for subs has charges very close to what you would see using 296/H110. I personally have not bought any, have been meaning to seek out Dellet for the blessing :P...

Re: Subsonic Unsuppressed 300blk from 8.3" Barrel
Dellet mentioned Norma brass, some of which I set aside(.223) to convert to BLK. After weighing/sorting, it was 98.6-101 ish which seemed heavy for my purposes. This brass also had a primer crimp. Perhaps this sample is not the best example of the Norma brass. I have not seen any in 300 bLK, but did...

Re: Subsonic Unsuppressed 300blk from 8.3" Barrel
Maybe I missed it, didn't see what primer you are using. When I tested the 150 GD with 1680 and CFE, switching to a magnum primer tightened 1680 to single digit. CFE went from ES 0f 50+ to hovering either side of 15. These were compressed loads, of which 1680 seems to be most suitable. The store hou...

Re: Case neck Runout
It did change it a bit here as well, the number being really so small, similar to your test. I agree .008 run out is too much, particularly if ultimate precision is your goal. I can live with .003-.005 as a rule in most of my loads, I'm not shooting BLK for bench rest specs, but certainly try to att...

Re: Case neck Runout
Run out of .001 or less seems a bit unrealistic for the AR platform. Finished ammo may meet that, but with long bullets seated to mag length, I would think the force from feeding from the mag and up the feed ramps would potentially move that number a bit. Most AR barrel extensions are cut for 5.56 u...

Re: Recipe for Speer 125gr TNT
I also settled on the 18.3 grains of H110 under the 125 TNT. Somewhere between 18.3 and 18.6 just plain works. I have also had good results with Alliant 300 MP. The 125 soft points from Sierra(#2120) are also nicely accurate. I scored a good quantity of RP 125 gr SP at a local shop that was selling ...

Re: Case mouth ring separation
For case mouth belling for seating lead or coated bullets, I have been using the belling die from a Hornady .357 mag die set. I know many use the 'M' die, but this was handy and has worked just fine. Adjusted to bell the case just enough to seat without doing harm to the chosen bullet.
