Re: Explanation for higher than expected velocity

I view "published" data as a good guide, but I don't accept that the info will be 100% accurate to real world conditions. A simple look through most reloading manuals with the same components can easily produce varying velocities. And as dellet said, simply changing a single component from...

Re: Hello from Texas

Thanks dellet, yep, physics + math > conjecture dogma and bravado every time. There is a decent likelihood I would settle on supersonic rounds in the magazine in the suppressed weapon next to my bed, especially if they were quiet enough to not need to worry about our hearing. I do agree with reliab...

Re: Sub-sonic hunting: hand-cycle or auto-cycle the action?

AS probably the biggest proponent of ethical subsonic hunting. Your ability to gain quick follow up shots after taking a subsonic shot, are no more possible than using supersonic loads. The impact on the animal is going to be substantially louder than you think. If wanting to keep subsonic I always ...

Re: My newest Creation, M1919 "modernized" belt fed.

Colder than normal winter this year, more free time? Get a new tool for Christmas? I know, the new grandkid is too short for the old stock. Probably have to fire it prone for the next couple years anyway. Always fun to see your projects up and firing. Thanks Lol, not really, this project has ...

Re: My newest Creation, M1919 "modernized" belt fed.

My main Goal for this was 2 fold. First I like shooting cast powder coated bullets, because I am cheap. Secondly, I really don't like having guns I cannot suppress. An additional thing, is I wanted to do as little permanent modification as possible so as to be able to put it back into original M1919...
