Sold
I got a 250 count box of the Rainier 180gr hollowpoint bullets awhile back. Shot a few but really don't have any particular like for them.
I haven't counted what's left and don't remember how many I loaded. But I'm guessing there are 230 left.
Asking $30 shipped.
SPF!
Thank you.

Re: Accurate LT-30 Subsonic Data
I guess that's about what I figured. LT-30 seems to be fairly close to 1680 in burn rate but is bulkier and takes up alot of case. My limited experiments with LT-30 in the 277 Wolverine have shown that case capacity is the limiting factor in looking for high velocity loads. Sure seems to work well f...

Re: Accurate LT-30 Subsonic Data
I'm about ready to start loading my next big batch of 220gr subsonic and will be using LT-30. It has been working pretty well for me as a subsonic powder.
Has anyone used it for supers? It might work well with 147gr etc.

Re: Disappointing Results--Rainier Ballistics 180gr HP
Well, it looks like LT-30 is a NO GO. 10.5gr out of my 12.5in CMMG runs about 950fps average. But it won't lock the bolt open on an empty mag suppressed. Extreme spread is pretty nasty too. I had a high of 1002fps and a low of 876fps for the seven rounds I chrono'ed. Most rounds were loaded singly t...

Re: Disappointing Results--Rainier Ballistics 180gr HP
Something else to watch for regarding neck tension is the force required to seat. These bullets are very soft and deform easily in the seating die. Also the base is very square and it is pretty darned easy to shave bullets during the seating process. A beveled base would be nice. I have 10 rounds lo...
