Re: Help with Noveske upper

I've sent it in to Noveske and all they did was sit on it for a month then said "it's working fine" and then sat on it until I called about 6 different times to get them to return it eventually. (bad CS I'd say) I am quite confident we did not just sit on it, we fully inspect and test fir...

Re: Pistol lower maybe???

Maybe. But how hard is it to just buy a new lower as an "other" and not worry about it?

Re: Pistol lower maybe???

The AUSA could point to the 4473 as proof that it was a "rifle" when it was transferred to you. (If it was marked incorrectly, that is.) But if both you and the gun shop owner testify that it was actually a stripped receiver, and the factory backs that up with their documentation that it ...

Re: Midlength in 14.5"?

The 300 BLK has a much larger bore and uses less powder than the 5.56 does, barrel life will be significantly higher. Given that and possible competition use I'd recommend a stainless barrel for the accuracy. On a 14.5" carbine gas barrel subsonic without a silencer will not be reliable. If you...

Re: Possible stainless barrel coatings and other stuff

I know we don't offer to fill in the lettering. For the purpose of a black barrel I would not spend any time going over the difference in the finishes.

You will need to call sales on the rest, I don't know if we are taking in work like that at this time.

Re: Exotic Setups

My gas port is no where near .125 looks more like .062. I will be headed to the tool store to get a .125 drill stop this weekend and will be opening it up. I will post an update after testing. You cannot really overgas a 16" carbine gas 300 BLK, the gas tube ID is too small. Just drill it out ...

Re: Stainless barrel vs chrome lined

A few mags of FA or bump fire is not abusive, SS will be fine.

Re: Stainless barrel vs chrome lined

The CL 300 BLK is new, so most dealers won't have any on the shelf yet. You can give us a call and we can probably tell you a few places that may have one in stock. The 300 BLK should last much longer than a 5.56, with a larger bore and less powder barrel life goes up. Most people don't shoot enough...

It usually is cheaper. Plus you get a gas port that was tested to be the right size, .125" is way too big but your gunsmith might do it just so you don't have to bring it back again...
