Re: I was thinking about getting an AAC Micro 7, but...

I have the same question as the OP. I don't want to drop $800 on a rifle that won't work out of the box reliably. That kind of frustration should only be associated with Century built guns  A couple local shops have the Micro-7 and I drool on them every time I stop by but can't bring myself to...

I'm really liking my choice now, but will like it even more in a month or so :D

Re: Why run subsonics without a suppressor?

OK, so it is a ridiculous thing to open up ports and basically ruin perfectly good barrels. Hopefully, this thread will have a few more good responses and I'll just post a link to this discussion whenever a new 300 owner decides to ruin their barrel.

Why run subsonics without a suppressor?

Other than to check performance on a chrony or to look for keyholing? I keep seeing guys new to the 300 BLK on other forums asking about how to open gas ports to reliably run subs without a suppressor and I just don't get it. Subsonics cycle with a suppressor almost universally with all barrel makes...

So I think the future is 300 BLK for most uses, and 308 for when you need to step up for longer ranges.

I think this statement sums things up pretty well.

Re: Why all the hate for the 300 BLK?

Most folks I've talked to in person are very interested in the 300 BLK and I am seeing more components and ammo available all the time at local shops and gun shows. Where I've seen real venom toward the round is the responses of the 6.8 true believer types in just about any 300 related thread on arf...

Re: Buffer Issue?

I've got the 16" Noveske and just run the standard buffer and spring combo. It would be hard to mess up the gas hole alignment with that barrel as it should have come with a pre-drilled gas block and pin.

Anyone run the BLK out of a YHM 7.62 QD Phantom?

My check has been cashed and the long wait begins for a 7.62 QD SS YHM Phantom. This was the best bang for the buck for me to get into the silencer game. Does anyone have experience running one on a 300 BLK?
Thank you!
