I have the Rainier and like it a lot. It helped that I got it for $125 in their 2nds table, there's a little ding the rear sight covers nicely. I have it on my 16" 300 BLK.

Re: Build or Buy?
After getting crappy service at a local shop while trying to buy a Micro 7 (and also being concerned about sending it back for factory fixes), I went with the Savage platform. I got a like new 110 Tactical in .223 at a local pawn shop and a barrel vise locally. My go/no-go gauges got here this week....

Re: Point of running heavies unsupressed?
I've tested my loads just shooting at paper and keeping track. I have two 300's and run them through both. As far as running them through the silencer, I'm still pending.

Re: Point of running heavies unsupressed?
To make sure they work correctly before putting the silencer on. Otherwise it's a waste of money. Just how it is for me.

The paperwork is easy, it's the wait that sucks. I started the thread when my check cleared. I'm still pending

Re: FS: 300 BLK Brass Lake City
I received 300 of these yesterday and they are nice. Length was as stated, no burrs, nicely formed, primer pockets just right and super clean. I did the whole re-size, chamfer and debur process but think I could have skipped those steps if it was for blasting ammo. I'll be buying more. Thank you!

Re: Why all the hate for the 300 BLK?
However, use a heavier 5.56 bullet such as the 75/77gr OTM and you have better performance than the BLK, no barrel change or funky brass forming needed. Nope - there is no 5.56mm that expands to more than 0.400 at 300 meters. 300 BLK expands to 0.600 at 300 meters. That 346ci guy posts utter crap i...

Re: Why not just a .308 ?
Yep, a joke and an example of the rabbit hole that the "why do you need (enter caliber-weapon-pointy stick-here)" arguments are tedious. This is the same "logic" anti's use against gun owners all the time and I hate seeing it used among ourselves. There is no one cal. does all ro...

Re: Why not just a .308 ?
I have to wonder as to the sincerity of the question when it is posted on a board by and for 300 BLK enthusiasts. This seems to be the standard question for people looking to find ways to bash the caliber, whether it's a 308, 6.8, 6.5 or other kind of question. It's all about what the end user wants...
