Re: 300 Blackout Brass Processing Issue
I may have found my problem. Since the last time I used these dies, I ground down the expander ball so I could use an expander mandrel and still retain the decapping function. It looks like I didn't grind it down enough and the expander ball was loose on the threads. I can't figure how that would ca...

300 Blackout Brass Processing Issue
This is strange. After sizing, chamfering , and beveling case mouths, I still have a very slight lip on the outside of the case mouth. It almost looks like it was flared. Here is my equipment and workflow. Brass is all LC, cut on a Harbor Freight chop saw Sized on a T-7 press, RCBS Small Base die Ch...

Re: Primers ?
Wow, for $200/1000 I would have to seriously consider letting some go.. LOL Hopefully, primers will hit the shelves 1st quarter, but I'm not holding my breath. With Plugs being inserted in the WH, I look for it to get worse before it gets better. I'm just glad I stocked up when I did. My memory is n...

Re: H110 and 120gr Powerbond Flamethrower
You should see what comes out of a .454 Casull with a 300 gr. bullet and 32 grains of H110. It's a lot of fun. My wife won't even go to the range when I take that one.

If you are going to venture away from the magnum powders, be sure to stay within the published data for the faster burning powders.

Re: H110 and 120gr Powerbond Flamethrower
H110/W296 is a "theatrical" powder. You may have to find a softer load using a different powder to get the flash/bang to diminish. I haven't really looked for anything else, so I can't send you anywhere.

What works?
What are some projectiles that work well with the 300 Blk Out besides Barnes and the Hornady SST, 110-120 gr range.
Super-sonic only. I don't shoot subs.

Re: Resizing with RCBS small-base
That may not get you sized all the way to the bottom of the case. At this point, the die itself is also suspect. Even RCBS and Redding turn out an occasional bad one. I recommend that you order the slotted case gauge from Sheridan Engineering and find out where you really are with this. Do some rese...
