Re: AR-15 Subsonic Feeding Problem
How big is the gas port in the barrel? My 8" barrel SBR had the same issue until I opened up the gas port to .108". Its primarily a sub gun and for shooting supers I can turn down the gas with the adjustable gas block if needed. The other thing to check is if the subs are rubbing on the si...

Re: 300 blk primer pocket swage
I have reamed (cut out) every primer pocket crimp from every piece of .223 brass I've ever used to make BLK. No problem what so ever with removing too much brass. This is the first I've heard from anyone of too much being cut out. If your concerned about it, swage the .223 brass after you have it in...

Re: Deer ammo
None of anything said so far matters as much as shot placement with a low powered cartridge. You need to find what shoots the best in your rifle. 125 SST, the Barnes bullets, 110 VMax or Varmageddon, Speer and Sierra Varmint bullets all have been proven performers and are loaded commercially. Nosle...

Re: Any recommendations for the big brother .308
For THE MOST accurate info on any make/model of 308AR get over to the 308AR forum. No bullsh*t and solid info. There is no such thing as milspec in the 308 AR world and manufacturers can make any part any size they want out of any material they want and claim its proper for these bigger cousins. S&a...

As long as your eyes are young enough to be able to focus on the rear apperture, the front pin, and the target at the same time offsets are fine.

Re: Powders for lightweight subs in bolt action
I just scored six 9oz bottles of Trailboss today at a local gun shop. I'm thinking about Unique for the 150 gr FMJs that I have.

Powders for lightweight subs in bolt action
I'm about to get a RARR in 300 BLK and have been doing quite a bit of reading in the posts about lightweight sub rounds specifically for bolt actions. The powders that are mentioned regularily are Trailboss, Unique, and Bullseye. I have on hand 110 gr Varmageddons and 150 gr Hornady FMJs to use for ...
