Re: Quietest Bolt Gun Subsonic Load 220gr?
I have also experimented with some ultra quiet loads as well, although in my AR. ... I took a load recipe from the Liberty Suppressors website: 165 NBT, SMK, or A-max 5.4 gr Red Dot CCI-400 COAL - 2.120 They did not list a COAL, however I tried 2.120 as that is what has worked well with other subso...

Re: Newbie Question
You might be tempted to purchase a suppressor based on price alone--some can be significantly less costly than others. Unless you're in dire economic circumstances and have to do a suppressor on a budget, I'd suggest purchasing your suppressor based on how well it satisfies your requirements and ign...

Re: Never Posted Pics of My 300s
What scope, and do you like it? Mine wears a Weaver 1-3x, but it has no illuminated reticle and the crosshairs can be difficult to see in low light conditions.

Re: Misery loves company... What NFA stuff awaits you?
On April 9th, 2013, I walked into Silencer Shop and bought my first can. Yesterday, April 9th, 2014, I returned to pick it up. The two months that the BATF had my application before they contacted the SS to say that they lost the stamp payment didn't help.

Re: First time shooting the Noveske 8.2. Blown primer?
The range report is quite short: it ran fine with supers. I had no subs to try, nor is my can out of BATF jail, so the subs might not have been a good litmus test, anyway.

Re: First time shooting the Noveske 8.2. Blown primer?
I believe it was on AR15.com where I read that someone spoke with Noveske and learned they don't use a standard SAAMI Blackout chamber reamer. Maybe they used a reamer with a shorter throat to try to wring out every iota of accuracy for their barrels. I dunno.

Re: First time shooting the Noveske 8.2. Blown primer?
I contacted Noveske, and they asked if I would send in the barrel for inspection. They had the barrel less than a day and called to confirm my address to send me a replacement. I got the replacement barrel yesterday, and the receipt with the barrel stated that they inspected the old barrel and found...

Re: Porn, two years in the making...
You spent two years putting a gun together and that's the best you could do? I'm kidding--it looks fantastic. Can't wait to hear the range report, particularly with regard to the sight.
Any idea what the weight is with the suppressor attached?

Re: First time shooting the Noveske 8.2. Blown primer?
Good question Doc, but those marks are at five points equidistant around the circumference of each bullet. It's really hard to tell from my lousy iPhone photography, but the Hornady bullet that shows slightly more/longer shank has rifling marks that are slightly longer than the Remy bullet on the ri...

Re: First time shooting the Noveske 8.2. Blown primer?
Posting a follow up to this thread. I finally assembled my new 10.2 Noveske and tried chambering live factory rounds (have not shot the gun, though). The old Remington 115 grn CTFB load, with the really long ogive, chambered and ejected easily. However, both the Remington 125 grn OTM and the Hornady...
