Just got my barrel today and it looks nice! Should be shooting it Sunday so I'll know a little more about it then.

I stared at mine for a few minutes also thinking it was bad. I was used to Dillon taper crimp dies. Set it up as per the instructions and when the shell plate pushes the bottom up it compresses the collet, crimping the round.

Just set up my 550b with a set of Forster Ultra dies and a Lee Factory Crimp die tonight. I tried the nut under the toolhead trick for the sizing die but unfortunately you will crush the indexing star with the nut. There seems to be just enough of the sizing die threads coming out the top of the too...

And just as soon as the Visa gets rung up a couple of Wilson Combat barrels are now available at Midway. Oh well, I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with the DD barrel.

Just ordered a 16" barrel direct from Daniel Defense over the phone. The rep said they just had some come available and they didn't change the websites "sign up to be notified" and "call for availability" stuff to avoid problems with a bunch of people trying to order all at ...
