Re: Rem 700 chassis with mags.
Buy the Accurate Mags 223 magazines, they feed 100% in my gun. The MDT would not even lock in.

Re: barrel life?
Nitriding the barrel will extend the life of a barrel. The type of steel used and if the barrel is hardened can also extend the life. Most gun barrels are not hardened and are generally about as soft as mild steel. I believe so heavily in nitriding that any barrel I buy will have it, including bolt ...

Re: 10.5 shorty adjustable gas block
Let me guess, a gas block that uses set screws to attach. Those only make contact at the 12 and 6 o'clock position and can have gaps at the 12 o'clock.
I use clamp on style because they clamp around the barrel creating a more complete seal.

As much hell as you give each other I think I finally figured out it has to be jealousy. I mean look at those hotties above. I know I am envious of those trophy wives you guys posted pictures of above. I'm really impressed that they have a full set of teeth, between them all. At least you guys came ...

Re: Challenges cutting down 556/223 and forming to 300 blackout
Why cut cut so close to max length? No need to do that. I’ve been cutting and trimming to 1.350 for a VERY long time without issue. After making the brass I never have to trim again. I use only neck tension to hold bulletsssnd I have never had an issue. If you happen to have a chamber with the neck ...

Re: Long Barrels
I’m building a bolt gun with a 32” Krieger barrel. Going to see if the extra barrel length equals extra velocity.

Re: Barrel twist for Heavy Sub Loads
The 265s are completely stable in 8 twist barrels at subsonic velocities.
There is no reason to run a 5, 6 or 7 twist to get the 265s to stabilize.
They are even stable in 10 twist barrels with velocities above 1,100 fps.

Re: Case mouth ring separation
There is zero reason to run brass at 1.368" unless you like to practice malfunction drills or like having random pressure spikes. Also, having to trim every time you reload gets tedious. For at least 8 years, and thousands of rounds, my brass has been cut at 1.350". I have yet to have a pr...

What “pistol” powders do you have on hand?
I have had great luck with VV N105, Blue Dot and even Trail Boss.
