Re: Best way to shave .001 off expander ball
I ground all of mine down so that they don't touch the case neck at all and use an expander mandrel for neck sizing. The ball only holds the decapping pin.

Working Up H110 Load
In the interest of not wasting components, I want to start with the lowest known "usable" load and increment up in steps of .2gr until I see pressure signs, then recover the components from the remaining rounds. Knowing H110 does not do well with reduced loaded, where is a good place to st...

Re: Chamfering & Accuracy
I can't imagine not chamfering any rifle case. It keeps you from shaving the bullet when seating.

Re: Looking for a better powder measure
All rifle rounds on my bench get loaded with a RCBS Powder Measure throwing slightly light, then trickled to the correct weight. The trickle is done with the powder in the scale cup, then funneled into the case. It takes longer, but my time is cheap and the loads are accurately weighed.

I just ordered the TAC-TX's. tried to order three, but at checkout it got changed to two. At least the order went through, so they must have them in stock.

Re: creepy joe 2020
Well, she's made it to the top. She can get off her back now. I'm still wondering how we ended up with a pedophile with dementia who doesn'r even know where he is half the time and a VP who dropped out of the primary before the first vote was taken. It must have taken a serious team of mules to drag...

Re: Uneven crimp in primer pocket?
If you only did three, personally, I would reclaim the bullets and powder and start over.

Re: Uneven crimp in primer pocket?
The cases are not being held centered in the swage so the ram is going into the primer pocket off center. This is a common issue with .223 and .308.
Inline Fabrication makes inserts for those two calibers that will solve that problem.

Re: converting measurement
I would stick with the head stamps that are known to be good. .223 brass is plentiful and it works. I would hate to go though all of the work to convert the case then find out you have to either turn the necks or pitch them in the scrap bucket. Get a batch of once fired .223 and go from there. Lake ...
