Re: Barnes 110 TAC-TX ?

I've taken 2 hogs now with the TAC-TX, neither went beyond 30-40 feet. Both had massive exit wounds in the 1" range. One was only 30-35 yards. The other around 85-90. They are accurate, shooting 1.25" at 100 with my 8.5" barrel, and they are devastating. As I remember, my muzzle veloc...

Re: Choosing a suppressor, experienced advice wanted

Omega 30.

Don't look back. STILL the lightest, most versatile (comes WITH a brake), QD mount, DT mount, removable muzzle-brake end-cap.

Super light, titanium construction, and 6" with flat end cap.

I own one, and my second should be coming any day now... I'm on month 11.

Re: SilencerCo

I had a baffle strike, midway down the stack in an Omega, with a full-power 175gr 308 SMK. The can did what it was designed to do. It jettisoned the last half of the baffle stack out the front of the tube, and sent the stack and end-cap down range into the berm. I recovered the stack and end-cap, bo...

Re: Function Frustration... Please Help?

The adapter adds 2OZ. If you are running an H2 buffer and FA carrier like it should have been to start then, then going to a regular carbine buffer and SA carrier will get back most of that, about 1 1/2 ounces. With the port drilled out as big as it is, I would expect it work unless it was lighter ...

Function Frustration... Please Help?

I own two 300BLKs. My first is a 8.25" barrel with a 0.125 gas port, standard buffer and spring, standard buffer tube. It runs perfectly with all supers, and subs, 147-220gr, locks back, ejects, everything. Suppressed and not suppressed. My second... 7.5" barrel, 0.125" gas port, stan...

Re: Big Gas-Port 8"?

I seem to remember my current 300 (8.25") has a .094 port.

I guess I'd rather go with a bigger port, and adjustable gas, than a smaller port, and have to get it drilled.

Ballistics advantage makes good barrels, I have a Hanson Profile in my 308.

Big Gas-Port 8"?

Looking for a 7.5-8" barrel with a big enough gas port (0.100-0.125") to reliably cycle subs.

Any good sources? Price is a factor. Obviously, this isn't a long-range barrel... It's a suppressible truck-gun.
