Re: Load data for 220gr Leatherhead bullets

Thank you for the reply sir. And thanks for getting the bullets in the mail so quickly. Despite being in the process of moving. Any faster and you'll pull up in my driveway with the strobes on and deliver them yourself. :) Looking forward to trying these. To be honest, having an affordable bullet wa...

Re: COAL on hogdon load data chart ???

C2-Drew, No sir. It's not a 16 inch barrel. But I do appreciate you pasting that info showing different COAL with quickload and the approximate increase in pressure. My barrel came from Ranier and is an 8.5" 1:8 twist nitride treated if you have something on that app for it. The Leatherneck bul...

Re: COAL on hogdon load data chart ???

dellet, what heavy bullets do you know of that expand well at low (sub) velocity? That's one of the main reasons why I wanted to try the leatherheads. I've watched the videos of Bill Alexander and what he's wanting to do, but they're not available yet. Palmetto doesn't seem to be shipping much. I'm ...

Re: COAL on hogdon load data chart ???

Thank you both very much for the reply. I am wanting to keep the bullets around 1025'ish. Certainly below 1050 because my elevation can be anywhere from 950 above sea level up to about 3200 feet depending on where I am standing so being a little below 1050 gives me some wiggle room to keep it subson...

COAL on hogdon load data chart ???

I understand why a certain powder would need to be seated at a particular depth where pressures are concerned, and compressed charges, etc. But any specific reason why Hogdons chart lists 220 gr matchkings and 208 Amax are maximum 2.260 that will fit in the AR mag? That doesn't leave any extra space...

Load data for 220gr Leatherhead bullets

I apologize in advance if there is a thread already pertaining to this because if there is I have looked over it, so if there is, please just point me to it. If not, I would like to find out what load data is out there for the 220 gr Leatherhead bullets. H4198 would be a bonus since that what I have...

Re: Getting suppressor close as possible to rail. Whats your setup?

This is actually my 2nd setup like this.

The first one, is on my dedicated 22LR suppressed upper. I built it back in 2008.

Re: Getting suppressor close as possible to rail. Whats your setup?

Low profile gas block, handguard with 1.8" inside diameter and 12 inches long, swallows my suppressors. Handguards usually come in 7 inch, 9 inch, 12 inch lengths as standard, though there are some out there that will cover 15, 16 inches of barrel. Also forgot about pistol length handguards. Un...

Re: 300 blackout load for suppressor, whats the quietest powder?

Glad this topic pulled up in my search because I am on the hunt for the most quiet combo in my sbr. Dolomite Supafly, I have question. Does your suppressor have a lot of FRP, and if not, my next question is going to be, what your expansion chamber dimensions are? I'm currently waiting on the paperwo...

300 blkout AR barrel manufacturers

Besides Noveske, who else is planning to make barrels for the 300 blackout for AR's? I assume remington, but probably wouldn't be able to get components from them to build your own. Are these going to use 5.56 bolts, or 7.62x39 or 6.5 or 6.8 or what? Will the subsonic ammo remain subsonic from the 1...
