Re: New Sierra 300 BLK Load Data Published

Dellet can elaborate on CFE BLK. While it has lower pressures when it is compressed, it then exhibits significant SD & ES variances. If you are not heavily invested, you may want to look at other powders. N110 will deliver the best accuracy and it very clean. W296, H110, and Lil' Gun will deliv...

Re: Two gun dilemma.

Going rifle length on the 22 Nosler, already have a dedicated lower for it and I already have another AR in 223 Wylde. Selling off the 300 upper would give me a spare lower to play with. 8)

Re: New Sierra 300 BLK Load Data Published

I'm loading the 110 grain Varminters with 23.7 grains of CFE BLK and getting 2000 fps out of my 9.5" pistol. I choose this powder because it is supposed to have much lower pressure then most used in this application and I wanted to see how well I could get these bullets to feed. With higher imp...

Two gun dilemma.

I have 2 300 AAC's in AR patterns that I have built. One is a 16" carbine and the other a 9.5" pistol. I find myself shooting the pistol more then anything and it seems to suit what I use my firearms for more than the carbine, I don't hunt medium or large game, just varmints and predators....

Re: What to do on a freezing cold day?

I'm going today to shoot some reloads after the temps go above 10.
Need to sight my pistol in for 110 gr Varmeggedons.
Also working on getting 110 gr Sierra Varminters to feed.

Re: Poor performance reloads

I have good accuracy results with the Speer 125 gr TNT out of a 9.5 inch barrel using Lil Gun.
My pistol likes the faster velocities with everything in super form so I load them for around 2000 fps.

Re: Poultry protection duty and varmint bullets.

stays within expansion velocity out to around 125 yds What is expansion velocity for the 125gr SST? I went out back and shot a water filled milk jug at around 45 yards yesterday to see how much energy is being transferred. It did split the back of the jug, nothing explosive but it appears there is ...

Re: Poultry protection duty and varmint bullets.

The Noslers have good reviews used with 300 AAC on Midway so I'll probably give them a try. I've used the Vmax for both 17 Hornet and .204 with good results. I've used the Varmageddon bullets in my .204 but haven't shot anything with them. Just load testing. Dellet, the Maker bullets look pretty int...
