Re: labeling and organizing test loads
I have in the past also used just pics on my phone/cloud for storage...it works but can be difficult for large numbers of data sheets. Excel gurus have certainly utilized that format.

Re: labeling and organizing test loads
Load test cases are marked on the primer with markers in red, black, green etc. If I'm testing several loads in the same caliber I mix up the marks with large dots, slashes and so on. The label for each load/charge has the corresponding colored mark. These post-its are then taped on the target accor...

Re: Subs and 16” barrels
I have acceptable results also in my RARR, probably the best groups are under 2" with mostly 200 gr and heavier bullets. One of my previous 16" AR uppers seemed to like subs in that same weight range. So many variables when launching subs for groups at 100. Some sub combos surprise and one...

Re: BACK UP AND RUNNING!
BlogSarge, I too have started to assemble 6 ARC stuff. To clarify...attempting to gather components before ordering the barrel. Likely barrel length will be 21-22", shorter throat than the print spec. The rest of the build is just short the hand guard and a good trigger. Bullets and brass are a...

Re: Adjustable Gas Block for Build
I have my 10.5" adjusted so supers are a bit less snappy and heavy subs run very well. The bleed off style by Superlative is my favorite so far.

Re: Hogs down with the 300BLK
Our dry ground and forests with fires all around had the ranges all closed...no shootin! This last week has cooled off and several episodes of rain allows us to now use a couple local ranges...and we can see the mountains and breathe fresh air! I would love to do some hog shootin one day.

Re: Problems w/Berry's 220gr subs
I'll chime in here with a point on the crimp. Just enough to hold a plated bullet and leave only a hint of evidence that you were there. The bullet core is softer than a hard cast, the Lee collet die is the ticket for easy adjustment for a light touch on the finished round. Test a couple with out po...

Re: Problems w/Berry's 220gr subs
I also found CFE BLK disappointing with heavy subs. 1680 , H110 both give me decent results to in my Bolt gun and AR's.

Re: Go-To 300 Blackout Dies
Your RCBS die needs cases with a nice light coat of lube to work. I loathe that particular die and would give it away but I like my friends more than that. In all my years of loading for AR's and M1A's etc. I never used small base dies. Once in awhile brass fired in a out of spec chamber is encounte...

Re: Case trimming question
I use the Lyman as well, have had a couple of them now for years. I can live with .002 difference for my purposes and I seem to get at least that or less trim. I did take some time to figure out how to keep it pretty uniform. I also use them for my precision rifle brass and have used more precise ty...
